The rising prevalence of Parkinson’s disease (PD) globally presents a significant public health challenge for national healthcare systems, particularly in low-to-middle income countries, such as Thailand, which may have insufficient resources to meet these escalating needs. There are also many undiagnosed cases early-stage PD, period when therapeutic interventions would the most value and least cost. traditional “passive” approach, whereby clinicians wait patients with symptomatic PD seek treatment, is inadequate. Proactive, early identification will allow timely interventions, digital technologies can be scaled up diagnosis cases. risk survey (TCTR20231025005) aims evaluate population screening platform identify Thai population. Psychobiotics, live microorganisms that provide mental health by interacting with the gut microbiota, are emerging as a promising therapeutic option for psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. Their effectiveness in addressing conditions such depression, anxiety, insomnia, stress, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), eating disorders were examined through comprehensive analysis of existing studies up to first half 2024, based on data from reliable electronic databases. We found psychobiotics can significantly reduce symptoms various influencing neurotransmitter levels, regulating hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, improving barrier function short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) other metabolites. However, several limitations identified, including inconsistent study methodologies, small sample sizes, lack long-term safety. Addressing these rigorous research is essential establishing standardized protocols fully confirming potential psychobiotics. ABSTRACT Cancer and kidney diseases (KD) intersect in many ways resulting worse outcomes. Both conditions are correlated with cognitive impairment, which can be exacerbated cancer patients by known effects of antineoplastic drugs on cognition, leading to a phenomenon as chemotherapy-related impairment (CRCI). This manifests poor attention span, disturbed short-term memory, general mental sluggishness. literature review explores CRCI investigates the potential impact KD this phenomenon. Additionally, we highlight shared pathogenetic mechanisms (including neurotoxicity, neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, vascular disease, electrolyte, acid-base imbalances), clinical presentation imaging findings between CRCI. The disruption blood–brain barrier might key mechanism for increased brain permeability anticancer nephropathic cancer.
