Gentrification is a capitalist urban transformation process whereby working-class residents are progressively replaced by wealthier ones, affecting the people-place bonds of those who manage to stay. In known as class cleansing, new cultural codes reshape landscape redefining identities. Drawing on this argument, we explore everyday experiences in gentrified neighbourhood El Poblenou (Barcelona) conducting reflexive thematic analysis attuned discursive dynamics through 22 walking interviews. We develop three themes. The first theme examines relation between identities and neighbourhood's economic model. second addresses commercial displacement. third investigates (re)creation iconic spaces. Results reveal participants' diverse ambivalent place, catalysed blurring Poblenou's identity, how their sense place. offer critical social-psychological approach examining spatial arrangement socioeconomic inequalities.
