Moral outrage (MO) is an emotional experience that arises in situations where a moral standard violated. Despite its relevance, there are few psychometric studies the Latin American context, characterized by inequality and social problems. This highlights need for specific assessment instruments this construct. The purpose of study was to analyze properties MO scale Peruvian population. sample consisted 881 Peruvians (57.2% women, Mage = 24.5 years, SD 9.07 years). administered participants. To data, two models were tested: structural equation model (SEM) exploratory (ESEM). CFA confirmed two-factor (emotional cognitive), with satisfactory fit indices standardized factor loadings greater than 0.70. ESEM also showed improved indices. Measurement invariance across sex established, convergent validity demonstrated between dimensions authoritarianism, as well other sociodemographic variables such sex, age, socioeconomic level. tested reliable, valid, invariant instrument, suitable assessing both men women within context.
