Controlling
ecological
deterioration
is
critical
for
the
well-being
of
current
and
future
generations,
as
it
ensures
a
sustainable
environment
that
promotes
health,
productivity,
general
quality
life.
This
study
investigates
interplay
between
innovation,
economic
growth,
impact
across
18
countries,
which
collectively
account
approximately
64%
global
greenhouse
gas
emissions,
using
data
from
2000
to
2022.
Using
structural
equation
modeling
approach,
we
investigate
how
regulatory
framework
moderates
growth
mediates
these
complex
relationships.
The
empirical
results
reveal
innovation
positively
impacts
but
this
effect
statistically
insignificant.
Similarly,
contributes
significantly
environmental
degradation.
Moreover,
interaction
leads
decline
in
growth.
Furthermore,
alone
direct
relationship,
reduces
jointly
increase
impact.
Economic
