Provided that, if made in a sustainable way, urban planning contributes to sustainability and the welfare of populations, comparative applied studies have societal relevance addition scientific one. Nevertheless, while theoretical studies, including those comparative, are relatively well represented, there is scarcity based on practices. Our study fills this gap comparing Bucharest (Romania) Chisinau (Moldova) by their experience for green infrastructure using geospatial technologies data-driven approaches. The methodology integrates data-based comparisons between two cities (wherever possible) qualitative results comparison indicate that Bucharest, proposal network could be drafted, provided availability from several projects institutions. However, similar not drafted due lacking data. sustains initial goal, demonstrating usefulness data planning. At same time, show countries share many things can different approaches opens new avenues future research, extension topics more diverse compared.
