Background and objective Pulmonary sarcoidosis is a chronic respiratory disease with growing global burden. This study systematically assessed the epidemiological trends, burden, associated factors of pulmonary in 204 countries from 1990 to 2021 provide evidence for its prevention control. Methods Utilizing Global Burden Disease data, we analyzed incidence, prevalence, mortality, disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) sarcoidosis, along age-standardized rates (ASR), across regions, sexes, age groups. The association between burden socio-demographic index (SDI) was also explored. Results In 2021, incidence cases reached 390,000, 43.07 million prevalence cases, 1.88 deaths 40.42 DALYs. Despite decreases ASR since 1990, absolute numbers rose. Andean Latin America had highest mortality DALY, while Eastern Europe lowest. Nationally, particularly significant such as Mauritius Italy. And higher males elderly. addition, DALY rate nodular showed non-linear relationship SDI, actual expected differing most regions countries. Conclusion poses globally, marked regional, demographic, socioeconomic disparities. Targeted interventions, including early screening, improved healthcare access, pollution control, are essential reduce this promote health equity.
