Aim : to evaluate the effectiveness of using virtual reality restore motor function in patients acute period ischemic stroke. Material and methods . We studied 207 stroke, who were divided into two groups by randomization: study group – 105 patients, comparison 102 patients. All received all necessary standardized therapy. Patients additionally classes ReviVR device. Efficacy was assessed NIHSS, FMA-LE, BBS scales. Results On scales studied, demonstrated better results relation group, both terms final result level change indicators during rehabilitation process. The use made it possible reduce disability on NIHSS scale 7.0 (4.0; 9.0) points, which is than 9.0 (5.0; 13.0) points with a high significance p < 0.001. increase according FMA-LE higher amounted 21.0 (15.0; 24.0) versus 18.0 (7.0; 22.0) = 0.002. also showed 26.0 (17.0; 34.0) 29.0) Conclusion together therapy stroke effective restoring affected lower limb, improving balance reducing general general.

Abstract Background Head-mounted displays can be used to offer personalized immersive virtual reality (IVR) training for patients who have suffered an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) by tailoring the complexity of visual and auditory stimuli patient’s cognitive capabilities. However, it is still open question how these environments should designed. Methods We a human-centered design approach help define characteristics suitable ABI patients. conducted (i) observations, (ii) interviews with eleven neurorehabilitation experts, (iii) online questionnaire 24 experts examine therapists modify current promote patients’ recovery in conventional sensorimotor settings. Finally, (iv) we involved eight participatory workshop co-create examples IVR environments. Results Five phases process (Screening, Planning, Training, Reflecting, Discharging) six key themes describing (physical) (Specific, Meaningful, Versatile, Educational, Safe, Supportive) were identified. The agreed that modulating number elements (e.g., objects, people) or distractions background noise) physical environment enables provide their conditions execute functional tasks. Additionally, highlighted importance developing are meaningful realistic. Conclusions Through consultations gained insights into adjust execution tasks diverse Their recommendations on modulate make may contribute increased motivation skill transfer. Future studies IVR-based involve themselves.

Introduction: The motor impairment evidenced post-stroke results in limitations to performing activities of daily living (ADL), especially when it involves locomotion. Serious Games (SG) are an interesting therapeutic option, as they allow the performance exercises according stroke treatment guidelines. However, there is little research exploring evaluation potential SG. This study aimed evaluate possible metric properties mim-pong SG addition effects. Methods: Twenty-four hemiparetic patients were divided into two non-randomized groups: experimental group (EG) (n = 16) and control (CG) 8). Participants evaluated terms (lower limb), muscle strength (MS), control, functional mobility. Results: significant correlations observed between score generated by clinical variables both groups highlighted, with MS (rho 0.62-0.66; p 0.000, rho 0.67-0.71; 0.002-0.005, for CGs, respectively) function lower limb EG 0.41, 0.018). In addition, indicated improvements all EG, superiority over CG. Conclusions: showed that serious game could be considered a resource assessment patients.
