Abstract This work exhibits a novel method for synthesizing α-MoO3 nanoparticles (NPs) using convenient recipe that utilizes glycerol and ascorbic acid as polymerizing green complexing agents. Different analytical techniques, including XRD, FT-IR, TGA, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), were employed to identify the as-prepared NPs, it was used catalyst in biodiesel production. Moreover, TPD experiment performed determine catalyst's acidity strength. The exhibited high efficiency producing from oleic ethyl alcohol an oil source alcohol, respectively. design of experiments optimization process also response surface methodology (RSM) attain optimal condition. influences several parameters, such dosage, reaction time, medium temperature, fatty (in molar ratio), studied. results demonstrate at operating variables 75°C, 50 min 30:1 ratio acid, 0.007 g catalyst, yield production can approach 85%. obtained indicated be efficiently recovered reused four times without significant loss its activity.
