ABSTRACT
Background
The
optimal
margins
for
surgically
treated
human
papilloma
virus
(HPV)‐related
oropharyngeal
squamous
cell
carcinoma
(OPSCC)
remain
undefined.
We
evaluated
the
impact
of
surgical
on
progression‐free
survival
(PFS)
in
patients
with
HPV+
OPSCC
primary
transoral
robotic
surgery
(TORS).
Methods
Patients
undergoing
TORS
from

2012
to
December
2021
intermediate‐risk
(T1–T2,
resected

mm)
or
close

mm),

N1‐N2)

Background
and
aim:
Human
papillomavirus
(HPV)
is
sexually
transmitted,
one
of
the
three
most
common
transmitted
infections
(STIs)
in
both
males
females,
viral
STI.

public
health
strategy
to
protect
people
against
HPV
vaccination,
which
has
shown
its
effectiveness
preventing
HPV-related
diseases.
