This study evaluated the efficacy of biopesticides against major insect pests cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) in Lekbeshi, Surkhet, Nepal. A randomized complete block design experiment was conducted with four treatments: Beauveria bassiana (1 ml/L), Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) (2 Jholmol (1:5 concentration), and an untreated control. After third spray, B. reduced red pumpkin beetle populations from 1.4 to 0.4 insects per plant, while Bt fruit fly 2.8 1.6 compared control (4.2 2.2). At 60 days after transplanting, Bt-treated plants were significantly taller (137.45 cm) than (111.28 cm). Fruit damage lowest plots (1.8% 0.69 kg weight) (3.8% kg). While yield attributes showed no significant differences, total highest bassiana-treated (35.58 t/ha) (17.8 t/ha). Economic analysis revealed that treatment had benefit-cost ratio (4.19), followed by (2.9), (2.8), (2.3). These findings suggest biopesticides, particularly Bt, can effectively manage improving economic returns, offering a sustainable alternative chemical pesticides subtropical regions.

Pest outbreaks are among the major factors that affect agroecosystems, subsequently leading to excessive use of fertilizers and toxic pesticides, polluting environment causing serious health concerns. This indiscriminate conventional pest-controlling chemicals has led development pesticide resistance, affecting soil fertility. Ultimately, there is a need find alternative means manage pest situations. In this regard, nanotechnology emerged as novel technique with wide range applications in agrochemical Phyto-protection systems control pests significant extent. Nanoparticles being used different nanoformulations insecticides, nanobiopesticides broad-spectrum biopesticidal potential, which could be fabricated by using various metals like silver, zinc, alumina, copper, gold, titanium. However, further research required understand interaction between natural biopolymers needed for their reduction during nanoparticle formulation. Keeping view importance issue, current review encompasses detailed discussion pest-related issues including crop losses global impact followed mechanism resistance demand biopesticides. Furthermore, role been highlighted briefly mode action.

Disrupted behavior and respiratory distress effects of 96-h acute deltamethrin exposures in adult Mozambique tilapia, Oreochromis mossambicus, were investigated using behavioral indices opercular movement, respectively. Deltamethrin concentrations found to be associated with toxicological (lethal sublethal) responses. At 24, 48, 72, 96 h, the LC50 values 95% confidence limits 12.290 (11.174-14.411 µg/L), 12.671 (11.334-15.649 10.172 (9.310-11.193 8.639 (7.860-9.417 The GUTS-model analysis showed that GUTS-SD (stochastic death) a narrow tolerance distribution exposed O. mossambicus populations was more sensitive than GUTS-IT (individual tolerance) model. Prior death, fish demonstrated concentration-dependent mortality disturbed responses, including uncoordinated swim motions, increased mucus secretion, unbalanced unpredictable swimming patterns, inactivity. altered patterns movement levels exposure time are strongly suggestive neurotoxicity distress, Adverse Outcome Pathways (AOPs), describing biological mechanisms plausible pathways, highlighted oxidative stress cholinergic as intermediate steps linked toxicity.
