Acetamiprid (ACMP) is an extensively used neonicotinoid pesticide to control sucking and chewing insects known cause nontarget toxicity. The present study aimed evaluate the ameliorative potential of berberine (BBR)-a polyphenolic alkaloid- on ACMP-induced oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunctioning, structural changes in different rat brain regions. male Wistar rats were divided into four groups, that is, control, BBR-treated (150 mg/kg b.wt), ACMP-exposed (21.7 b.wt) BBR + ACMP co-treated; dosed intragastrically for 21 consecutive days. Results biochemical analysis showed significantly ameliorated stress by decreasing lipid peroxidation protein oxidation along with a marked increase endogenous antioxidants lowered AChE activity Inside mitochondria, attenuated toxic effects increasing complexes. Findings polymerase chain reaction also demonstrated modulatory against ACMP-mediated downregulation ND1, ND2, COX1, COX4 subunits histopathological ultrastructural examination validated transcriptional alterations following toxicity exposure protective neurotoxicity. Thus, indicates promising neurotoxicity via its antioxidative activities.

This study aimed to investigate the effects of diazinon on fish, focusing hepatotoxic biomarkers and potential protective silymarin supplementation. One hundred eighty rainbow trout were randomly assigned four groups: control, exposed (0.1 mg L-1), supplemented (400 kg-1), + silymarin. Blood samples liver tissue collected after 7, 14, 21 days exposure analyze biochemical parameters oxidative biomarkers. Neonicotinoids (NEOs) are synthetic insecticides with broad-spectrum insecticidal activity and outstanding efficacy. However, their extensive use persistence in the environment have resulted accumulation biomagnification of NEOs, posing significant risks to non-target organisms humans. This review provides a summary research history, advancements, highlighted topics NEOs remediation technologies mechanisms. Various approaches been developed, including physiochemical, microbial, phytoremediation, microbial physicochemical being most extensively studied. Recent advances physiochemical led development innovative adsorbents, photocatalysts, optimized treatment processes. High-efficiency degrading strains well-characterized metabolic pathways successfully isolated cultured for remediation, while many plant species shown great potential phytoremediation. challenges gaps remain this field. Future should prioritize isolating, domesticating or engineering high efficiency, NEO degradation, as well developing synergistic techniques enhance removal efficiency on multiple varying concentrations different environmental media. Furthermore, shift from pipe-end pollution prevention strategies is needed, green economically efficient alternatives such biological insecticides. Integrated case-specific that can be applied practical projects need along clarifying degradation mechanisms improve efficiency. Lignin, as an abundant aromatic biopolymer in plants, has great potential for medical applications due to its active sites, antioxidant activity, low biotoxicity, and good biocompatibility. In this work, a simple ecofriendly approach lignin fractionation modification was developed improve the antitumor activity of lignin. The fraction KL-3 obtained by gradient acid precipitation at pH = 9–13 showed cytotoxicity. Furthermore, cell-feeding after additional structural modifications such demethylation (DKL-3), sulfonation (SL-3), demethylsulfonation (DSKL-3) could exhibit higher glutathione responsiveness tumor microenvironment, resulting reactive oxygen species accumulation mitochondrial damage eventually leading apoptosis HepG2 cells with minimal normal cells. IC50 values KL-3, SL-3, DSKL-3 were 0.71, 0.57, 0.41 mg/mL, respectively, which superior those other biomass extractives or unmodified Importantly, vivo experiments conducted nude mouse models demonstrated biosafety effective destruction. Abstract Imidacloprid is an insecticide that protects against insects in the agriculture, animal, and poultry production sectors. Since accumulation of imidacloprid induces adverse impacts on general health status quality food chain, this study tested broilers. Besides, selenium nanoparticles were fed to birds relieve negative growth performance status. Birds (1-day age, initial weight 46.05 ± 1.0 g) divided into four groups (triplicates) where 15 chicks each replicate (45 for group). The first group (control) was basal diet without either or toxicity. second nano form at 3 mg/kg. third exposed 1/10 LT 50 (3 mg/kg body weight). fourth mg/kg) All kept under same conditions 35 days. final gain showed marked improvement compared imidacloprid-exposed group, while feed intake conversion ratio markedly reduced. red blood cells higher values than control those imidacloprid. The use of agricultural neonicotinoid insecticides has sub-lethal chronic effects on bees that are more prevalent than acute toxicity. Among these insecticides, thiacloprid, a commonly used compound with low toxicity, attracted significant attention due to its potential impact the olfactory and learning abilities honeybees. effect larval exposure thiacloprid antennal activity adult honeybees ( Apis mellifera L.) is not yet fully understood. To address this knowledge gap, laboratory-based experiments were conducted in which honeybee larvae administered (0.5 mg/L 1.0 mg/L). Using electroantennography (EAG), impacts selectivity common floral volatiles evaluated. Additionally, odor-related memory also assessed. results study reveal, for first time, decreased antenna EAG responses scents, leading increased high-dose (1.0 mg/L) group compared control (0 vs . mg/L: p = 0.042). suggest negatively affected odor-associated paired acquisition, as well medium-term (1 h) 0.019) long-term (24 0.037) amplitudes dramatically reduced following R-linalool training 0.001; 0 0.5 0.027), while activities only differed significantly between unpaired groups.
