Significant mental health problems affect one in five youth the United States; tandem with child epidemic, parents States report high and rising rates of burnout challenges their own. Multiple well-established theoretical perspectives demonstrate degree interdependence between children's parents' health, including intergenerational transmission, prenatal programming, attachment, temperament self-regulation theories. Drawing on these perspectives, we argue that a universal prevention approach centers development psychopathology within context parent-child dyad can promote resilience arrest emerging for children parents, during sensitive developmental windows (e.g., preconception through early childhood). Derived from this integrated framework, review empirical support following targets to family resilience: screening current historical parent risk factors resources; strengthening healthy, reciprocal social ties; supporting socioemotional skill acquisition. Our literature highlights how improvements areas have cascading benefits across development, both children, as well future generations. We conclude actionable, empirically-supported recommendations profound impacts changes federal state policies, community healthcare settings, childhood education care programs. To achieve enduring, multigenerational impacts, societal community-level programs, practices must interweave efforts adjustment wellbeing.

Abstract Neurological conditions, including cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s disease (AD), impose a huge burden on society, affecting millions of people globally. Abstract Physiological synchrony is an important biological process during which parent–child interaction plays a significant role in shaping child socioemotional adjustment. The present study held context‐dependent perspective to examine the conditional association between physiological and adjustment (i.e., relationship quality with parents emotion regulation) under different from highly unsupportive supportive) emotional contexts. One hundred fifty school‐age Chinese children ( M age = 8.64 years, 63 girls) their primary caregivers participated this study. After attaching electrocardiogram (ECG) electrodes, dyads were instructed complete 4‐minute conflict discussion task. Parent–child was calculated based on within‐dyad parents’ children's respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) levels across eight 30‐second epochs. Parental support, parents, regulation task coded by trained research assistants. Supporting our hypotheses, parental support moderated relations of RSA both regulation. Furthermore, Johnson‐Neyman technique moderation indicated that associations parent indicators shifted negative positive as became increasingly high. Our findings suggest may not be inherently adaptive or maladaptive, highlighting importance understanding function specific Research Highlights meanings might contingent contextual factors. regulation). Background/Objectives: present study focused on maternal play behavior, considered as an mechanism ER. In addition, explored moderating role paternal empathy in association behavior. Methods: This cross-sectional involves 103 mothers their husbands (the children’s fathers), with at least one ages 3 6 who typically developed. Results: Our findings show that behavior mediates cognitive reappraisal (CR), expressive suppression (ES), Regarding empathy, lower levels moderate ER Conclusions: highlight importance variable outcomes and, concomitantly, variables, such supporting when it comes to achieving better outcomes.

BACKGROUND Adolescence is a critical period for stress vulnerability, with high levels of linked to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and sleep problems. While digital mental health interventions (DMHIs) are increasingly used support adolescent health, little known about their effectiveness in managing stress. Measurement-based collaborative care models (CoCM) DMHIs may provide structured approach addressing stress, but research on impact remains limited. OBJECTIVE The purpose this study explore the CoCM DMHI among adolescents. We aimed (1) quantify self-reported identify factors associated elevated (2) assess changes during care, (3) key influencing reduction. METHODS Adolescents (ages 13-17 years) who receive coaching therapy through (Bend Health Inc.) completed assessments at enrollment monthly throughout care. Associations between demographic factors, co-occurring symptoms, caregiver well-being were predictors mixed-effects RESULTS At enrollment, 91.5% adolescents reported Higher problems, as well female sex (P’s<0.05). Caregiver (t2152=3.90, P<.001) problems (t2152=3.82, burnout was not (t2152=1.02, P=.31). During 80.9% experienced reductions, improvements emerging after one month. In reporting non-elevated larger (t248.73=-2.27, P=.024). anxiety showed reductions compared those (t3369=-2.77, P=.006). CONCLUSIONS Stress closely symptoms A effective reducing improvements, demonstrating its potential broader management. These findings underscore need incorporate family-centered approaches, future should ways optimize long-term reduction outcomes.
