Acute otitis externa (AOE) is a common disease encountered in otolaryngology practice, it mainly bacterial origin. AOE can cause severe otalgia and interrupt the daily activities; however, bed rest required about 20% of patients.To evaluate usefulness adding an oral antibiotic with topical steroid treatment uncomplicated which limited to ear canal immunocompetent patients.A prospective comparative clinical study was conducted department at Al-Jerrahat Teaching Hospital Private Clinic, Baghdad, Iraq, during period from April 2020 October 2021. A total 68 patients (39 females 29 males), diagnosed as cases canal, were included this study. The categorized into two groups. Patients group treated tobramycin 0.3%-dexamethasone 0.1% drops, while B received same plus Ciprofloxacin tablets 500 mg twice daily. followed up on day-to-day basis until complete resolution pain edema. severity assessed by visual analogue scale (VAS) scores, edema graded dividing imaginary horizontal vertical lines four quarters. post-treatment VAS scores grades both groups compared. Statistical analysis using t-test done calculate P-value order find if there significant difference regarding between B.During whole follow-up no (P-value more than 0.05).There benefit patients.

In recent times, many researchers in pharmaceutical chemistry have been preoccupied with the quest for new potent anti-infective agents to combat antimicrobial resistance. A novel series of naphthalene-based derivatives were synthesized as part these studies. Different spectral techniques, such UV–Vis, FTIR, 13C-NMR, and 1H-NMR used affirm compounds' chemical structures, while an ADME study was conducted investigate their pharmacokinetics drug-like properties. The potential candidates versus pathogenic microbes evaluated using a broth microdilution assay. These involved six aerobic gram-negative bacteria, four anaerobic two fungi. addition, safety assessed normal bacterial flora. From obtained results, authors reported following principal outcomes: Compound SF5 revealed significant bactericidal impact indicating high non-pathological strain. For the first time, Frankincense resin (FR) has been carboxymethylated to produce CMFR - AuNPs and conjugate was utilized for Doxorubicin drug loading. The carboxymethylation of carboxylic, phenolic, hydroxyl functional groups FR developed into (CMFR). A novel CMFR-AuNPs synthesized using as a stabilizing reducing agent. antibacterial, antioxidant, in-vitro anticancer activities were investigated by AuNPs@DOX. demonstrated antioxidative properties quenching DPPH radicals effectively. DOX@CMFR-AuNPs strong antibacterial activity against K. pneumoniae, S. aureus, B. subtilis, E. coli. cell viability tested -AuNPs at various concentrations Dox-loaded (CMFR-AuNPs + Dox1, Dox 2, & 3). highest inhibition observed on MCF-7 HeLa lines 3, respectively. Various techniques such UV, FTIR, TGA, XRD, SEM, EDAX TEM used characterize designed CMFR-AuNPs. After carboxy methylation, amorphous nature changed crystallinity, reflected in XRD spectra. spectrum CMFR- showed FCC structure due involvement carboxylic strongly bound with AuNPs. Microbial infection and microbial resistance to the classical antibiotics have been immense challenges which portend health of societies. This has directed researchers straight their attention onto plants discover new possible antimicrobial compounds. In this work, 5 solvents were employed extract dried seeds powder quince by ultrasound including ethanol, ethyl-acetate, chloroform, n-hexane, diethyl-ether. The current study was conducted to investigate the role reducing toxicity cisplatin on some Immunological parameters rat model. experiment 80 adult white male rats within age range 9-12 weeks. animals were divided into eight groups (10 each group). control group dosed with physiological solution until end (C). Rats second treatment injected (2 mg/kg, T1). third (T2), fourth (T3), and fifth (T4) at a concentration mg/kg) received levels 5000 IU, 10,000 15,000 respectively. sixth (T5), seventh (T6), eighth (T7) subjected concentrations IU,10,000 At experiment, which lasted 21 days, anesthetized, their weights recorded, blood samples collected. findings revealed significant elevation interleukin-12, tumor necrosis factor-alpha, C-reactive protein, lymphocyte percentage, monocyte eosinophil percentage T1 compared other D3. average neutrophils significantly lesser than groups. This work involves the synthesis of eight novel fused coumarin compounds, which were confirmed by various spectrophotometers and then, assessed for their apoptotic-inducing free radical-quenching activities.
