Abstract In this investigation, we explored the diversity of melleolide‐type meroterpenoids produced by Armillaria ostoyae , one largest and oldest organisms on Earth, using extracts from liquid solid fermentation media. The study unveiled three unprecedented dimeric bismelleolides novel fatty‐acid‐substituted congeners, along with 11 new 21 known derivatives. structures were elucidated 1D 2D NMR spectroscopy HRESI‐MS, ROESY spectral analysis for relative configurations. Absolute configurations determined crystal through ECD spectra comparison. A compound library facilitated metabolomics‐wide associations, revealing production patterns under different culture conditions. enabled assessments antimicrobial cytotoxic activities, that Δ 2,4 double bond is not crucial antifungal activity. Cytotoxicity was linked to presence an aldehyde at C1, but lost hydroxylation C13. Chemoinformatic analyses demonstrated intricate interplay chemical modifications biological properties. This marks first systematic exploration spp. meroterpenoid MS‐based untargeted metabolomics, offering insight into structure–activity relationships innovative chemoinformatics.

Abstract Fungi are one of the most diverse groups organisms with an estimated number species in range 2–3 million. The higher-level ranking fungi has been discussed framework molecular phylogenetics since Hibbett et al., and definition higher ranks (e.g., phyla) ‘true fungi’ have revised several subsequent publications. Rapid accumulation novel genomic data advancements now facilitate a robust precise foundation for classification within kingdom. This study provides updated kingdom , drawing upon comprehensive phylogenomic analysis Holomycota which we outline well-supported nodes fungal tree explore more contentious groupings. We accept 19 phyla Fungi, viz . Aphelidiomycota Ascomycota Basidiobolomycota Basidiomycota Blastocladiomycota Calcarisporiellomycota Chytridiomycota Entomophthoromycota Entorrhizomycota Glomeromycota Kickxellomycota Monoblepharomycota Mortierellomycota Mucoromycota Neocallimastigomycota Olpidiomycota Rozellomycota Sanchytriomycota, Zoopagomycota In phylogenies, Caulochytriomycota resides ; thus, former is regarded as synonym latter, while Caulochytriomycetes viewed class provide description each phylum followed by its classes. A new subphylum, Sanchytriomycotina Karpov introduced only subphylum Sanchytriomycota subclass Pneumocystomycetidae Kirk al. Pneumocystomycetes invalid thus validated. Placements fossil classes also discussed, providing examples.

A review of selected studies on fungal endophytes confirms the paucity Basidiomycota and basal fungi, with almost 90% attributed to Ascomycota. Reasons for low number including Chytridiomycota, Mucoromycota, Mortierellomycota, are advanced, isolation procedure media, incubation period slow growth basidiomycetes, identification non-sporulating isolates, endophyte competition, fungus–host interactions. We compare detection through culture-dependent methods culture-independent methods, role fungi senescence host plant, next-generation studies.

Transcriptional regulation is vital for organismal survival, with many layers and mechanisms collaborating to balance gene expression. One layer of this genome organization, specifically the clustering functionally related, co-expressed genes along chromosomes. Spatial organization allows position effects stabilize RNA expression transcription, which can be advantageous a number reasons, including reductions in stochastic influences between products. The co-regulated families into functional clusters occurs extensively Ascomycota fungi. However, less characterized within related Basidiomycota fungi despite uses applications species clade. This review will provide insight prevalence, purpose, significance across Dikarya, foundational studies from Ascomycetes current state our understanding throughout representative Basidiomycete species.

The yaks that inhabit the Tibetan plateau are a rare breed is closely related to local economic development and human civilization. This ancient may have evolved unique gut microbiota due hypoxic high-altitude environment. susceptible external factors, but research regarding effects of different feeding models on fungal community in remains scarce. In this study, we compared analyzed composition variability among wild (WYG), house-feeding domestic (HFG), grazing (GYG). results revealed Basidiomycota Ascomycota were most preponderant phyla community, regardless models. Although types dominant did not change, their abundances did. Intergroup analysis diversity showed Shannon Simpson indices WYG GYG significantly higher than those HFG. Fungal taxonomic there 20 genera (Sclerostagonospora Didymella) between GYG, 16 (Thelebolus Cystobasidium) Furthermore, proportions 14 (Claussenomyces Papiliotrema) decreased, whereas eight (Stropharia Lichtheimia) increased HFG as GYG. Taken together, study indicated structure differ raised breeding groups.

ABSTRACT Long‐term positioning experiments have demonstrated significant benefits in agricultural production and environmental protection. Faba bean‐wheat intercropping with nitrogen fertiliser can effectively mitigate the occurrence of faba bean wilt disease. Identifying optimal application rate is essential for enhancing disease control efficacy intercropping. This study aimed to investigate long‐term effects varying levels on physical, chemical, biological changes rhizosphere soil under conditions examine their relationship incidence In a 9‐year field experiment, two treatments 1 year (IF‐1) 9 years (IF‐9) were established four (N0: 0 kg ha −1 ; N1: 45 N2: 90 N3: 135 ). Rhizosphere from plants was collected assess corresponding indicators. promoted growth controlled by improving structure fertility quality (SQI). Under different levels, certain physical properties (moisture content, macroaggregate proportion, MWD, GMD) chemical (SOM, total carbon, SOC, nutrients, available nutrients) peaked N2 (90 ), SQI showing similar trend. Additionally, enhanced enzyme activity rhizosphere, reshaped microbial community composition, maximised beneficial microbes, reduced abundance pathogenic fungus Fusarium, achieved N2. at significantly improved, enhanced, plant pathogens modifying composition. alleviated disease, healthy growth, maintained function.
