Eating disorders (EDs) represent a contradictory chapter of clinical psychiatry, i.e., although they are associated with significant prevalence and risks in the long term (including vital risk, especially for anorexia nervosa), therapeutic resources minimal based on low-quality data. Another contradiction arose last few decades, variety new EDs have been described, either by clinicians or signaled mass media, but their systematic exploration is progressing very slowly. Entities like "food addiction," "orthorexia nervosa," "emotional eating disorder" still require intensive order to find most accurate diagnostic instruments, diagnosis criteria, data, vulnerability factors, approaches. This article focused integrating into comprehensive model not specified loosely defined current international classifications psychiatric disorders. framework intended as an instrument stimulating epidemiological research, potential favorable consequences research. The dimensional suggested here includes four main categories that accommodate already recognized (i.e., nervosa, bulimia binge disorder) well ten need research pathophysiological characteristics. More good-quality studies urgently required regarding this topic, mental physical negative impact these may short term, vulnerable populations (e.g., pregnant women, athletes, adolescents, etc.).

The present study aimed at exploring the combined effect of risk eating disorders (ED), alcohol use, physical activity, and social psychological traits in Food Alcohol Disturbance (FAD) behaviors. Nine-hundred seventy-six college students were included study. They then divided into two groups based on Compensatory Eating Behaviors Response to Consumption Scale (CEBRACS): with a FAD positive score student negative score. Both participants compared ED, activity variables, as well dimensions. Background: Drunkorexia is a food and alcohol disturbance described as being range of disordered compensatory eating behaviors that co-occur with excessive consumption. The remarkable correlation, highlighted in the literature, between dysfunctional cognitions both disorders substance use able to emphasize cognitive phenomena can be an intrapersonal factor linked drunkorexia disorder. aim this study was assess correlation early maladaptive schemas (EMSs) among sample Lebanese adults. Method: We conducted cross-sectional across all governorates (September-December 2020; N = 258). Motives Behaviors Scales, Fails Scale, during Alcohol Consumption Event Post-Drinking Compensation Scale were used drunkorexia, whereas Young Schema Questionnaire-Short Form three measure EMSs. Results: Emotional deprivation subjugation significantly associated more motives, emotional inhibition less motives. Failure behaviors. Abandonment mistrust fails, unrelenting standards fails. Subjugation consumption on events. Social isolation post-drinking compensation, compensation. Conclusion: Our findings showed positively EMSs, delineating well specific relationships drunkorexia’s behavioral aspects. Abstract Purpose This study investigated the associations between retrospective reports of body image victimization (i.e. shaming) perpetrated by peers and parents during childhood or adolescence, food alcohol disturbance (FAD) in young adulthood, considering possible mediating role psychological distress subthreshold symptoms anxiety depression). Methods The involved 1624 adults aged 18 30 (69% women), who completed an online survey. Results Our findings revealed that participants reported more frequent episodes adolescence exhibited higher levels and, turn, scores FAD adulthood.
