Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is the most common endocrine disorder in women during reproductive age. It characterised clinically by oligo-ovulation or anovulation, hyper-androgenism, and presence of polycystic ovaries. associated with an increased prevalence metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease type 2 diabetes. The onset PCOS has been to several hereditary environmental factors, but insulin resistance plays a key pathogenetic role. We sought investigate effects ketogenic diet (KD) on childbearing age diagnosis PCOS.Fourteen overweight underwent Mediterranean phyoextracts (KEMEPHY) for 12 week. Changes body weight, mass index (BMI), fat (FBM), lean (LBM), visceral adipose tissue (VAT), insulin, glucose, HOMA-IR, total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein (LDL), high (HDL), triglycerides (TGs), free testosterone, luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle stimulating (FSH); dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate (DHEAs), estradiol, progesterone, sex binding globulin (SHBG) Ferriman Gallwey score were evaluated. After weeks, anthropometric composition measurements revealed significant reduction weight (- 9.43 kg), BMI 3.35), FBM (8.29 kg) VAT. There was significant, slightly decrease LBM. A glucose blood levels observed, together improvement HOMA-IR. triglycerides, cholesterol LDL observed along rise HDL levels. LH/FSH ratio, LH DHEAS also significantly reduced. Estradiol, progesterone SHBG increased. Score slightly, although not significantly, reduced. Our results suggest that KD may be considered as valuable non pharmacological treatment PCOS. Longer periods should tested verify effect dermatological aspects Trial registration Clinicaltrial.gov, NCT04163120, registrered 10 November 2019, retrospectively registered, https://clinicaltrials.gov.

<b><i>Background:</i></b> The very low-calorie ketogenic diet (VLCKD) has been recently proposed as an appealing nutritional strategy for obesity management. VLCKD is characterized by a low carbohydrate content (&#x3c;50 g/day), 1–1.5 g of protein/kg ideal body weight, 15–30 fat/day, and daily intake about 500–800 calories. <b><i>Objectives:</i></b> aim the current document to suggest common protocol summarize existing literature on its efficacy in weight management weight-related comorbidities, well possible side effects. <b><i>Methods:</i></b> This prepared adherence with Preferred Reporting Items Systematic Review Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Literature searches, study selection, methodology development, quality appraisal were performed independently 2 authors data collated means meta-analysis narrative synthesis. <b><i>Results:</i></b> Of 645 articles retrieved, 15 studies met inclusion criteria reviewed, revealing 4 main findings. First, was shown result significant loss short, intermediate, long terms improvement composition parameters glycemic lipid profiles. Second, when compared other interventions same duration, showed major effect reduction fat mass, waist circumference, total cholesterol triglyceridemia improved insulin resistance. Third, although also resulted glycemia, HbA1c, LDL cholesterol, these changes similar those obtained interventions. Finally, can be considered safe approach under health professional’s supervision since most effects are usually clinically mild easily manage recovery often spontaneous. <b><i>Conclusions:</i></b> recommended effective dietary treatment individuals after considering potential contra-indications keeping mind that any personalized. <b><i>Prospero Registry:</i></b> assessment composition, overweight obese subjects: (CRD42020205189).

Very low-calorie ketogenic diets (VLCKD) are an effective and increasingly used tool for weight loss. Traditionally considered high protein, often looked at with concern by clinicians due to the potential harm they pose kidney function. We herein evaluated efficacy safety of a VLCKD in patients obesity mild failure. A prospective observational real-life study was conducted on ninety-two following approximately 3 months. Thirty-eight had failure fifty-four no renal condition were therefore designated as control. Anthropometric parameters, bioelectrical impedance biochemistry data collected before end dietary intervention. The average loss nearly 20% initial weight, significant reduction fat mass. report improvement metabolic parameters clinically relevant variation regarding liver Upon stratification based function, differences outcomes found. The epidemic of obesity is growing steadily across the whole world. Obesity not only a merely aesthetic disease but "mother" most chronic diseases such as associated with range type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, obstructive sleep apnea, and cancer. However, although there need to find strategy stop this times current nutritional strategies are effective in weight loss long term maintenance. Very low-calorie ketogenic diets (VLCKD) increasingly establishing successful pattern manage obesity; due rapid that gives rise positive psychological cycle which turn increases compliance diet. Another important key point VLCKD ability preserve fatty free mass known play role paramount importance glucose metabolism. Despite clinical evidence paucity data regarding its management. Therefore, we will provide useful guide be used by nutrition experts taking care subjects obesity. In particular, report recommendations on correct use therapeutic approach for management side effects.

This narrative review explores the role of Medical Nutritional Therapy (MNT) in managing Metabolic-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), previously known as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. It aims to examine effectiveness specific nutritional strategies preventing and treating this obesity-linked Emerging evidence underscores benefits Mediterranean diet, low-carbohydrate diets, intermittent fasting reducing fat, improving insulin sensitivity, mitigating inflammation. Supplementing with vitamin E, omega-3 acids, silymarin can potentially reduce fibrosis promote health. MNT is a key intervention for MASLD management, emphasizing dietary patterns, caloric restriction, nutraceutical supplementation. Integrating these lifestyle modifications, including regular physical activity, offers comprehensive approach metabolic outcomes patients MASLD. Further research needed refine personalize therapeutic interventions.

The Very Low-Energy Ketogenic Therapy (VLEKT) is a structured, multi-phase dietary regimen characterized by carbohydrate intake of less than 50 g/day and daily caloric fewer 800 kcal, which induces ketosis facilitates significant weight loss. Evidence suggests that this nutritional therapy can improve glycemic control, lipid profiles, blood pressure, making it promising option for managing type 2 diabetes (T2D) reducing cardiovascular risk. These benefits are achieved through reductions in triglycerides low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c), alongside increases high-density (HDL-c). However, the effects VLEKT on metabolism remain controversial. review emphasizes urgent need further research to validate long-term safety efficacy VLEKT. It also highlights critical role personalized plans, supervised healthcare professionals, optimize health outcomes address individual patient needs.
