Abstract Background Young people are disproportionately more likely than other age groups to use substances. The rise in substance and related harms, including overdose, during the Covid-19 pandemic has created a critical need for innovative accessible interventions. Digital interventions have shown effectiveness can provide engaging, less stigmatizing, that meet needs of young people. Associations between paternal versus maternal parenting behaviors and child and adolescent internalizing problems: A systematic review and meta-analysis

There is a large evidence base supporting an important role of parenting behavior in influencing youth mental health; however, this literature often fails to capture the potentially unique and interactive mothers fathers. Accidental substance-related acute toxicity deaths among youth in Canada: a descriptive analysis of a national chart review study of coroner and medical examiner data

Substance-related acute toxicity deaths (ATDs) are a public health crisis in Canada. Youth often at higher risk for substance use due to social, environmental and structural factors. Screen time and adolescents' mental health before and after the COVID-19 lockdown in Switzerland: A natural experiment

A mixed-method study on adolescents’ well-being during the COVID-19 syndemic emergency

In this study, we set out to investigate adolescents' levels of perceived well-being and map how they went about caring for their during the COVID-19 syndemic. Participants were 229 Italian adolescent high school students (48.9% males, mean age = 16.64). The research design was based on an exploratory, parallel, mixed-method approach.
