With the aging of global population, neurodegenerative diseases are emerging as a major public health issue. The adoption less sedentary lifestyle has been shown to have beneficial effect on cognitive decline, but molecular mechanisms responsible clear. Here we provide detailed analysis complex molecular, cellular, and systemic underlying age-related decline how choices influence these processes. A review evidence from animal models, human studies, postmortem analyses emphasizes importance integrating physical exercise with cognitive, multisensory, motor stimulation part multifaceted approach mitigating decline. We highlight potential non-pharmacological interventions address key hallmarks, such genomic instability, telomere attrition, neuroinflammation, underscore need for comprehensive personalized strategies promote resilience healthy aging.

The deterioration of physical and cognitive functioning in the elderly is an impairment to their independent self-management improving ability perform daily functions. Nurses should support experience a healthy successful aging process by preventing dependence on understanding care assistance that such persons need. This study aimed gain insight into evidence effectiveness multicomponent intervention activities living (ADL) instrumental (IADL) among community-dwelling without impairment. design systematic review randomized controlled trial. language published literature was English, search period from January 2000 December 2020. Articles were included under PICO (population, intervention, comparison, outcome) framework for: (a) impairment; (b) intervention; (c) comparison group who did not receive (d) measurement effect ADL IADL. A total 4413 references found, 6 studies included. Most (n = 5) reported exerted beneficial Only one showed highest methodology reporting quality Cochrane review. Common components programs included: occupational therapy, exercise, memory training, cognitive–behavioral interdisciplinary training. Multicomponent may be way improve IADL as important area functional evaluation elderly. Considering condition elderly, interventions, including activity, especially individually customized coaching related useful.

Liver, an important regulator of metabolic homeostasis, is critical for healthy brain function. In particular, age-related neurodegenerative diseases seriously reduce the quality life elderly. As population aging progresses rapidly, unraveling mechanisms that effectively delay has become critical. Appropriate exercise reported to improve aging-related cognitive impairment. Whereas current studies focused on exploring effect itself, ignoring persistent effects peripheral organs through blood circulation. The aim this paper summarize communication and processes liver emphasize liver-brain axis about ameliorating diseases. A comprehensive understanding potential improving adaptation changes formulating effective interventions against decline.

Dementia is a syndrome characterized by cognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms associated with progressive functional decline (FD). FD core diagnostic criterion for dementia, setting the threshold between its prodromal stages full-blown disease. The operationalization of continues to generate great deal controversy. For instance, diagnosis dementia varies across criteria, supporting need standardization this construct. Moreover, there reconsider how we are measuring set boundaries normal aging, mild impairment, dementia. In paper, propose multidimensional framework that addresses outstanding issues in assessment FD: i) What activities daily living (ADLs) necessary sustain an independent aging? ii) How assess individuals suspected neurocognitive disorders? iii) To whom directed? iv) much does differentiate healthy aging from major Importantly, Whom Question introduces person-centered approach regards patients caregivers as active agents process FD. Thus, once impaired ADLs have been identified, can indicate significant such impairments them life. We envisage new will guide future strategies enhance treatment their caregivers.
