Abstract Background Several major sensitization profiles have been described in children with asthma, but it remains unclear how these relate to asthma phenotypes. The aim of this study was determine allergenic a megacity cohort (SAMP). In this systematic review, we have discussed the role of component-resolved diagnostics (CRD) in diagnosis immunoglobulin E (IgE)mediated food allergies; IgE-mediated allergies are adverse reactions to caused by an immunologic mechanism involving specific IgE (sIgE) antibodies. While self-reported common, prevalence confirmed through oral challenge (OFC) is estimated be around 1%.The conventional diagnostic process for involves clinical history, vivo and/or vitro tests, and OFC.However, many components used these tests irrelevant process.Component-resolved a technique that uses purified allergens detect sIgE antibody responses against individual allergenic molecules. It aims enhance specificity testing differentiate between genuine sensitization cross-reactivity-induced sensitization.Component-resolved also helps stratifying risk associated with patterns predicting OFC outcomes. However, CRD cannot replace as gold standard due insufficient sensitivity levels.Proper interpretation crucial avoid unnecessary elimination diets auto-injector prescriptions may impact patients' quality life.Component-resolved plays significant work-up identifying characterizing compounds causing allergic responses. It enables differentiation primary secondary sensitization, predicts disease progression risk, aids results. However, there gaps research practice.Commercial only available limited number allergens, costly compared other it lacks sufficient OFC.Further initiatives necessary address improve use allergy diagnosis.

Non-specific Lipid Transfer proteins (nsLTPs) are relevant allergens of several pollens and plant foods. Sensitization to nsLTPs is not typical in our region. Still, it has become an increasingly common cause IgE-mediated food allergies food-induced anaphylaxis Northern Europe recent decades. No in-depth studies describe the prevalence sensitization molecular components Lithuania. This study aimed determine profile atopic patients at Immunology Allergy Department Kauno Klinikos nsLTPs, using allergen component analysis. Sixty Lithuanian adults with symptoms allergic rhinitis and/or asthma were included into study. Specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) levels measured two vitro techniques: extract Results showed that 25% subjects sensitized nsLTP-containing sources, mostly Zea m 14, Mal d 3, Vit v 1, Art 3. The median amount total IgE was higher nsLTP-sensitized than nsLTP-nonsensitized patients. Based on Cohen’s Kappa McNemar tests, results analysis tests do always agree, especially when we sources containing nsLTPs. Molecular could be first choice determining detailed who experienced unknown origin.
