This paper presents research in the field of optimization maritime passenger traffic that can ensure long-term sustainability coastal lines system. For purpose contained this paper, it has been hypothesized optimal arrangement boats within a system will reduce consumption propulsion energy, emission harmful gasses and operating costs. The aim is to present an efficient algorithm for reduction energy systems by reassigning they service. problem modeled using bipartite graph solution obtained searching matching Edmonds’ algorithm. authors apply, first time, problems assignments lines. results were confirmed tests on representative example. only 10 ships given example show yearly savings 91,097.30 L fuel (lowering costs EUR 69,233.95) reducing CO2 243.59 tons, which proves found much more could result significant consumption, thus providing economic ecological benefits.

Port operations, essential for global trade, are energy-intensive and heavily reliant on fossil fuels. Transitioning to renewable energy can reduce their carbon footprint enhance resilience sustainability. Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) offer a collaborative decentralized framework integrating into port facilities. However, authorities maritime stakeholders face challenges in design, implementation, particularly estimating outcomes benefits. Understanding the REC is crucial industry address current priorities. This study provides guidelines implementing single or multiple communities ports. An economic model, based EU regulations national laws, assesses viability of RECs The model considers usage various production systems, such as solar marine technologies, storage hybrid configuration estimate variable demand profiles explore integration system. numerical simulates virtual exchanges among users investigates feasibility shared projects research comprehensively analyses technological scenarios examines convenience end-user aggregations. The urgent need to reduce energy consumption and environmental impact in the shipping industry has prompted research explore new solutions for minimizing fuel usage. This study examines potential effects benefits of integrating electrical storage systems, such as lithium-ion batteries supercapacitors, into short sea ships during port stay. Specifically, a novel dynamic simulation tool is developed conduct suitable analyses that investigate feasibility charging systems while at navigation utilizing them alternatives traditional diesel generators port. analysis reveals supercapacitors are effective tools reducing pollutant emissions by generator usage stopovers, resulting significant reduction from 1.148 kt/year 0.511 kt/year.
