Thermal simulations have become increasingly popular in assessing energy efficiency and predicting thermal behaviors various structures. Calibration of these is essential for accurate predictions. A crucial aspect this calibration involves investigating the influence meteorological variables. This study aims to explore impact variables on simulations, particularly focusing ships. Using TRNSYS (TRaNsient System Simulation) software (v17), renowned its capability model complex systems within buildings, significance incorporating data into was analyzed. The investigation centered a patrol vessel stationed port Galicia, northwest Spain. To ensure accuracy, we not only utilized vessel’s dimensions but also conducted situ temperature measurements onboard. Furthermore, dedicated weather station installed capture real-time data. Data from multiple sources, including Meteonorm MeteoGalicia, were collected comparative analysis. By juxtaposing based against those relying solely measurements, sought discern relative merits each approach enhancing fidelity simulations.
