Attachment, resilience, mental health, dyadic adjustment commitment were assessed in 220 adopted adults matched with nonadoptees. groups did not differ on experience love. Psychological predictive experience. By contrast, predicted by most our pathway-related characteristics. Finally, effect attachment security moderated group (adoptees vs nonadoptees).

Abstract: What are the key factors of psychological resilience in dogs? Why do some individuals recover swiftly from neglect, abuse or several years harsh kennel environments, while seem to be permanently traumatized by much milder adverse experiences? Resilience is a concept seldom discussed canine studies; however, many studies have identified risk (both environmental and genetic) for developing anxieties, aggression other behavioral problems. These also indicate that may act as protective agents against life adversities. In this paper, I will present most commonly species discuss what has been found dogs. This paper an attempt raise focus on positive dog’s important dog welfare, healthy outcome building blocks happy well-behaving pet. Keywords: resilience, dog, stress

Background Great variability exists in response to stressful or traumatic events, leading an interest the construct of resilience as a trait and outcome. The etiologic sources across differing conceptualizations are poorly understood. Methods Using behavioral genetic methods sample 2,056 female twins, present study sought (a) examine trait-based self-report measure perceived (PR), (b) determine environmental overlap with outcome-based resilience, defined by absence psychiatric symptoms after life previously used our research team (discrepancy-based [DBPR]), (c) these two measures major depressive disorder (MDD). Results PR was modestly (11%) heritable. A moderate degree (39%) nominal amount (3%) were found between alternative resilience. Genetic factors that influence accounted for 3% MDD heritability, whereas 31% heritability due DBPR factors. Conclusions Findings higher correlation compared suggest gene-finding efforts may benefit from considering multifaceted nature is best understood both phenotypically genetically heterogeneous construct.

As most adoption studies have focused on adopted children and their vulnerability, with scant research adult adoptees’ outcomes, the aim of present study was to compare adoptees nonadoptees experiences as parents explore more deeply question role among conjugal relationship in context parenthood. A total 268 matched one responded several standardized scales (attachment, mental health, resilience, motivations for parenthood, parental stress, dyadic coping, coparenting). The groups did not differ experience thus contradicting previous studies. They did, however, attachment, health achieving lower scores. Only case coping found a mediating relations between psychological characteristics stress. Thanks our efforts make samples representative possible, this sheds new light especially after birth first child. Moreover, it presents from perspective resilience offers insights into functioning parents. It opens up both theoretical clinical perspectives.
