The conversion of renewable biomass feedstock into value-added products via bioprocessing platforms has become attractive because environmental and health concerns. Process performance cost competitiveness are major factors in the bioprocess design to produce desirable from feedstock. Proper pretreatment allows delignification hemicellulose removal liquid fraction, allowing cellulose be readily hydrolyzed monomeric sugars. Several industrial produced sugar fermentation using either naturally isolated or genetically modified microbes. Microbial play an important role synthesis several products, including drop-in chemicals, as-in novel compounds. key elements developing a platform medium formulation, sterilization, active cells for inoculation. Downstream bioproduct recovery may seem like straightforward chemical process, but is more complex, wherein versus becomes challenge. This review summarizes prospects utilizing bioprocessing.

In terms of productivity, bioethanol production from agri-food residues can be improved by carrying out simultaneously the two involved stages (enzyme hydrolysis and alcohol fermentation). This is because shorter process duration, higher overall productivity achieved. this work, kinetic models previously developed authors have been combined to obtain a general model for simultaneous saccharification fermentation lignocellulosic materials. The validity has tested using three different residues: wheat straw, rice husks exhausted sugar beet pulp. Later, used calculate under many conditions optimize industrial process. After study, it concluded that some important operating variables, such as enzyme dose inoculum strength, must well coupled maximal yield residues. Thus, obtained in laboratory experiments was 5 mg ethanol per gram solid waste hour. However, simulations optimal predict productivities up double that.
