Abstract Our clinical experience in psychoanalytic family therapy with families where one member has anorexic symptoms shown that the space is often invaded by deathly dimension, an absence of historicity, and a lack autonomy. These different elements appear as “voids,” missing pieces puzzle, reflect psychic container damaged weight inherited intergenerational trauma. Rather than disappear, these are passed down from generation to next, their effects weakening current group whose envelope develops “holes” becomes “elastic.” This paper will focus on changes this container, which shift according rhythm functioning, oscillating between activation toxic function within group, hand, tension isomorphic homomorphic mode, other. We show how identification around quality its valuable for therapy.

Abstract Background Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are prevalent, impact long-term physical and mental health, associated with eating disorders (EDs) in adulthood. The primary objectives of the current study were: (1) to examine compare ACEs between two samples: treatment-seeking adults, a nationally representative sample (2) characterize items total scores across demographic diagnostic information adults seeking treatment for an ED, (3) statistically classify profiles using latent class analysis, (4) associations diagnosis. Methods This cross-sectional assessed patients DSM-5 ED receiving October 2018 April 2020 at inpatient, residential, or partial hospitalization levels care one private facilities. were Childhood Experiences Survey admission. Generalized linear models Welch’s t-tests used national estimates. A analysis was conducted subgroups responses, differences these classes by diagnoses examined multinomial logistic regression. Results Patients EDs had significantly higher ( M = 1.95, SD 1.90) than 1.57, 4.72; t 6.42, p < .001). To examine the independent association of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and lifestyle patterns with incident probable eating disorders among adolescents, to explore whether healthy affects that vary by ACEs exposure levels. This longitudinal study included 7726 adolescents (mean [SD] age at baseline, 15.89 [0.60] years) without baseline. At we collected 11 ACE indicators 6 behaviors (i.e., appropriate sleep duration, sufficient moderate-to-vigorous physical activity, less screen time, no smoking, drinking, a balanced diet). The Sick, Control, One, Fat, Food (SCOFF) questionnaire was used measure baseline 4-month follow-up. Generalized mixed logistic models, as well stratified joint analyzes, were performed, mediation interaction analyzes. Among participants, 917 (11.87%) developed during Accumulation independently associated an increased risk (OR = 1.20, 95% CI: 1.14-1.27), even after adjusting for behaviors. Conversely, higher score lower 0.82, 0.76-0.88). Stratified analyzes showed favorable had consistently reduced compared those unfavorable lifestyle, particularly pronounced exposed ACEs. results highlight reducing encouraging may help prevent adolescents.

Abstract Background A large proportion of patients with eating disorders (ED) report experiences childhood trauma. Latent trajectory analysis in ED samples reveals the complexities course and outcome can explore long‐term impact adverse childhood. Method total 84 longstanding were included. symptoms assessed by Eating Disorder Examination interview at discharge from inpatient treatment, 1‐, 2‐, 5‐, 17‐year follow‐up, respectively. Change over time was examined using growth mixture modeling, allowing number trajectories to emerge through data. Prevalence trauma assessed, its relation class membership tested. Results We identified four distinct classes: (a) a continuous improvement entire follow‐up period, scores within normal range end, “continuous improvement” (54.8%); (b) high symptom level baseline moderate decrease time, “high declining” (22.6%); (c) initial below clinical cut‐off stable throughout course, “consistently low” (14.3%); (d) initially, significant increase increasing” (8.3%). history sexual abuse (CSA) overrepresented classes persistently levels poor Discussion Patients displayed considerable diversity change across 17 years. To improve outcome, enhanced treatment sequelae CSA seems essential. Public Significance different study. Although there changes majority remained similar as they presented treatment. Background Clinicians need an instrument that helps their patients with eating disorders (ED) to explore agent’s inner intentions and confront negative behaviour control styles. Objectives To assess the feasibility impact of styles axis (ECOSA) during first 8 months mentalisation-based psychotherapy a community-based sample ED patients. Methods Six experienced therapists consecutively admitted were randomly allocated intervention groups. A total 94 women, M age = 24 recruited between June 2020 October 2021. Ninety completed it. Both groups received psychotherapy, but only group used ECOSA repeatedly. Therapists participants blinded study aims hypothesis. Fidelity assessment was applied ensure two differed mainly in terms usage. Results The use ECOSA, although less than advised, reported as feasible. effect size improvement reflective functioning larger correlated significantly EDE-Q score ( r 0.46; p 0.001). Conclusion Although limitations: selective population, relatively small lack controlled confounder, combined quantitative qualitative results lend preliminary evidence for validity contribution possible may upgrade clinician’s toolbox treatment ED. more rigorous design is needed potential usage clinical tool enhance mentalisation among people
