Abstract Background: Both internet addiction and non-suicidal self-injury are major public health concerns among adolescents, association between have been observed adolescents. However, it is unclear how, under what conditions, relates to self-injury. Therefore, this study aimed construct a moderated mediation model examine the roles of loneliness cognitive reappraisal in relationship Chinese Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 1046 They were asked complete self-report questionnaires. The questionnaires assessed IA, NSSI, reappraisal. Results: IA positively associated with partially mediated them. In addition, first half path model. Specifically, higher level reappraisal, weaker positive effect NSSI through loneliness. Conclusion: Interventions targeted reduce increase strategies may risk adolescents Internet addiction.

Background Both Internet addiction (IA) and non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) are major public health concerns among adolescents, association between internet have been observed adolescents. However, it is unclear how, under what conditions, relates to self-injury. According our hypothesis, there a positive relationship IA NSSI Chinese but this affected by the mediating role of loneliness moderating cognitive reappraisal. Method A cross-sectional survey was conducted on 1046 adolescents from 3 middle schools. Measurements: Adolescent Self-Harm Scale; Young’s Addiction Test (IAT); University California at Los Angels (UCLA) Loneliness Emotional Regulation Questionnaire (ERQ), They were asked complete self-report questionnaires. Results In sample, detection rate 12.3%. positively associated with NSSI, partially mediated them. addition, reappraisal moderated first half path mediation model. Specifically, higher level reappraisal, weaker effect through loneliness. Conclusion Interventions targeted reduce increase strategies may risk in addiction.

Although previous research has linked child maltreatment (CM) to NSSI, the precise mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims investigate association between CM, cognitive reappraisal (CR), negative coping styles (NC) and NSSI in MDD, from perspectives of both Latent Variable Theory Network Mental Disorder. A sample 651 MDD was recruited January December 2023. Data on CR, NC, were collected through paper-based self-reported questionnaires. analysis primarily involved structural equation modeling network analysis. The reporting rate 48.2%. CM showed positive correlation NSSI. affected by three paths: mediating role chain CR NC. Differences Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD), Inventory Parent Peer Attachment (IPPA), Egma Minn av. Bardndosnauppforstran (EMBU), Self-Compassion (SCS) participants compared. binary logistic model was established measure odds ratios variables NSSI. In adolescent sample, separate models created with impulse inhibition, resistance activity, motivation as dependent independent variables. Results Compared no behavior, those past higher scores HAMD, well EMBU-negative father parental (punishment, excessive interference, rejection, overprotection), mother (excessive punishment), SCS negative scores. Moreover, lower EMBU-father emotional warmth, EMBU-mother IPPA-attachment father, mother, positive Current depressive symptoms maternal punishment are risk for adolescents, while protective factor. Positive can positively predict However, we unexpectedly found father’s warmth negatively predicts activity. Conclusion has significant impact prevention adolescents.

Abstract Background Non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is a serious public health concern. Emotional insecurity crucial predictor of NSSI among adolescents. However, few studies have elucidated the specific mechanisms between emotional and NSSI. Methods This study employed longitudinal research design, using sample 886 Chinese early adolescents ( M age at T1 = 10.62 years, SD 0.77 years; 47.40% females), conducted two surveys six months apart to examine mediating role peer exclusion NSSI, as well moderating effect school climate. Results The results indicated that significantly mediated connection adolescent Moreover, climate moderated exclusion. Specifically, impact on was significant only in who reported negative climate, but non-significant those positive Conclusions These findings provide robust theoretical foundation practical insights help inform prevention interventions for

Hierarchical regression analyses were conducted to examine relation Mphubbing as well explore whether mothers' irritability adolescents' gender would moderate relationship. The participants included 482 middle school students (51.7 % girls) their mothers from China. results revealed a significant positive association reported by adolescents perception mothering.
