Abstract Industry 5.0 (I5.0) is the next industrial revolution that will leverage human intervention in collaboration with intelligent, logical, and smart machines to attain even more user-preferred resource-efficient manufacturing supply chain solutions. The main aim of this article study I5.0 technologies chains when these are affected by disruptive phenomena such as those created wars, climate change or pandemics. A systematic literature review methodology was conducted understand present knowledge connected theme. This summarises 194 research articles from period 2009 2022 findings show a significant gap related adoption prevent overcome disruptions. articles, including journal were identified literature. provides novel insightful concept within context potential applications 4.0 elaborately discussed three areas, namely: (1) disruptions due pandemics; (2) war; (3) change. Finally, highlights implications proposes future avenues contribute further exploring prevent, manage chains.

The agri-food sector has come under increasing pressure to increase safety standards. Both consumers and expert authorities are demanding that the chain implement higher levels of traceability transparency make system less susceptible fraud ensure quality. These needs have become even more pressing following food scandals occurred in 2000s. Recent European policies supported growth technological digital innovations firms, recognizing digitization a strategic role play modernizing moving toward ecological transition. This paper aims verify whether blockchain's cutting-edge technology can provide effective technical support achieving aforementioned goals. A total 123 articles underwent descriptive analysis network focusing on topic blockchain context. methods used were Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analyses (PRISMA) protocol VOSviewer software. results highlight growing importance (and increased interest in) its functionality when applied sector.

Four decades ago, the concept of megatrends was introduced by John Naisbitt (1929-2021). The popular tool has since been adopted researchers, consultants, private enterprises and governments to explore long-term futures across a diverse range regions, industries socioeconomic domains. widespread use led variability in how is applied lack scientific rigour around approach, previous attempts synthesise literature have incomplete. current paper presents first systematic review publications from 1982 2022, including bibliometric analysis publishing trends. We provide consensus view defined academic non-academic propose standardised process for improving megatrend analyses. From an 267 studies, we present novel diagnostic defining that brings together characteristics (e.g., its multidisciplinary nature, drivers change, breadth, long time span forward-focused lens). Our findings also reveal validity reliability issues associated with this, approach developing validating improves upon these shortcomings.
