Ultraviolet C (UVC) devices are an effective means of disinfecting surfaces and protecting medical tools against various microbes, including coronavirus. Overexposure to UVC can induce oxidative stress, damage the genetic material, harm biological systems. This study investigated prophylactic efficacy vitamin B12 hepatotoxicity in UVC-intoxicated rats. Rats were irradiated with (725.76, 967.68, 1048.36 J/cm2) for 2 weeks. The rats pretreated aforementioned antioxidants two months before irradiation. effect vitamins was evaluated by monitoring alteration liver enzyme activities, antioxidant status, apoptotic inflammatory markers, DNA fragmentation, histological ultrastructural alterations. exposed showed a significant increase enzymes, oxidant-antioxidant balance disruption, increased hepatic markers (TNF-α, IL-1β, iNOS, IDO-1). Additionally, obvious over-expression activated caspase-3 protein fragmentation detected. Histological examinations verified biochemical findings. Co-treatment ameliorated deviated parameters variable degrees. In conclusion, could alleviate UVC-induced more than diminishing inflammation, damage. provide reference clinical practice as radioprotective workers disinfectant areas.

Abstract Usually, in aerobic metabolism, natural materials including nucleic acids, proteins, and lipids can experience auxiliary injury by oxidative responses. This damage produced reactive oxygen/nitrogen species has been identified as “oxidative stress.” As a polyphenol got from red wine peanuts, resveratrol is one of the most eminent anti‐aging mixtures. Based on many studies', hinders destructive effects inflammatory causes oxygen radicals several tissues. The nuclear erythroid 2‐related factor 2 related to transcription with anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant possessions which complicated enzyme biotransformation biosynthesis carbohydrates. review provides current understanding information about character against stress regulation inflammation via Nrf2 signaling pathway.

Absorption of free radicals in the body cannot be done by antioxidant compounds originating from human body, so exogenous antioxidants are required to help their natural action. Oxidative stress can caused an imbalance radical inhibitors and accumulation that enter cellular structures. Synthetic found external not primary choice because they harmful carcinogenic. Therefore, using ingredients provides a necessary alternative constructing novel antioxidants. Recent studies have highlighted critical analysis evaluation flavonoids unique class secondary metabolites plants used communities as traditional therapeutics with proven bioactivity. This could support new discoveries based on various herbal medicines addition, functional effectiveness against radicals. In this review, there several strengths discussion. First, study takes comprehensive approach covering aspects, including properties sources radicals, oxidative relation different diseases, defense mechanisms, specific mechanisms flavonoids. Second, focus antioxidants, especially flavonoids, also discussion about clinical applications studies, limitations, global perspectives, future research directions become references selection medicines. But, constraints should considered when interpreting findings review. mechanism is only discussed general one example compound (flavonoid) has potential antioxidant. lack regarding relationship between diseases Third, limited number investigated some discussed.

Oxidative stress is the result of imbalance between reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS), which are produced by several endogenous exogenous processes, antioxidant defenses consisting molecules that protect biological systems from free radical toxicity. a major factor in aging process, contributing to accumulation cellular damage over time. biomolecules, leads DNA alterations, lipid peroxidation, protein oxidation, mitochondrial dysfunction resulting senescence, immune system tissue dysfunctions, increased susceptibility age-related pathologies, such as inflammatory disorders, cardiovascular neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, cancer. stress-driven mutations, or methylation histone modification, alter gene expression, key determinants tumor initiation, angiogenesis, metastasis, therapy resistance. Accumulation genetic epigenetic damage, oxidative contributes, eventually unrestrained cell proliferation, inhibition differentiation, evasion death, providing favorable conditions for tumorigenesis. Colorectal, breast, lung, prostate, skin cancers most frequent aging-associated malignancies, implicated their pathogenesis behavior. Our aim shed light on molecular mechanisms link stress, aging, cancers, highlighting impact both RONS antioxidants, provided diet exercise, immunity, development an antitumor response. The dual role ROS physiological regulators signaling responsible well its use anti-tumor therapeutic purposes, will also be discussed. Managing crucial promoting healthy reducing risk tumors.

Chickpea is a globally cultivated legume, rich in vitamins, protein, carbohydrates, polyphenols, fatty acids, fibers, and flavonoids. Despite its nutritional benefits, chickpeas contain antinutritional factors that can hinder nutrient absorption. Therefore, we reviewed the various pretreatment methods to enhance chickpea protein’s value functional properties. Thermal biochemical treatments food applications of protein are thoroughly reviewed. The review revealed physical, thermal, were reported be effective reducing improving solubility, emulsifying capacity, foaming proteins used cereals bakery products meet consumer demand. Encapsulation enhances stability, inclusion gluten-free has different effects on glycemic index, antioxidant activity, overall acceptability. These findings highlight chickpea’s potential improve aspects while offering health benefits consumers.

The expert opinion almost immediately united fact that most effective way fighting would be building immunity artificially via mass immunization program. However, it took about year for approval first vaccine against COVID‐19. In meantime, part general population started adapting nutritious diet plans and dietary supplements boost natural as potential prophylactic strategy SARS‐CoV‐2 infection. Whether they originate from mainstream medicine, such synthetic supplements, or traditional herbal remedies in form single poly‐herbs, these may comprise various components exhibit immunomodulatory, anti‐inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial characteristics. There is substantial body predictions opinions suggesting enhancing one's with containing additional nutrients bioactive compounds like vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty phytochemicals, probiotics can enhance system's ability develop resistance COVID‐19, although none them have any conclusive evidence nor officially recommended World Health Organization (WHO). current review critically acclaims gap between public perception‐based preference real evidence‐based study weigh actual benefit relation prevention management.
