The logistics industry has developed rapidly in recent years, but it emerged as one of the primary contributors to greenhouse effect due its high carbon emission levels. To address above challenge, scholars have undertaken research green location routing problem (GLRP) reduce gas (GHG) emissions. However, best our knowledge, there not been many attempts comprehensively sort out current status and future opportunities GLRP. In response, this study reviews 66 articles related GLRP published from 2017 2022 using descriptive content analysis. fully investigate research, three questions are created better academic concerns: (a) publication status; (b) definitions, objective functions solution methodologies; (c) opportunities. findings suggest that becoming increasingly engaged, especially field cold chain logistics. addition, policies focus. The current stereo warehouse in the cold chain logistics industry faces problems such as high product loss rate, severe temperature deviations, and low level of informatization. The rapid growth of pharmaceutical refrigerated logistics poses sustainability challenges, including elevated costs, energy consumption, and resource inefficiency. Collaborating multiple depots can enhance efficiency when standalone distribution centres have limited transport resources, i.e. vehicles. However, the sustainable benefits performance across different strategies remain unexplored. This study fills this research gap by addressing a routing problem. While many collaborative prioritise economic environmental benefits, our approach highlights vital social indicator: maintaining vehicle flow equilibrium at each depot during collaboration. ensures stability resources for all stakeholders, promoting logistics. problem is formulated as multi-depot with time windows (MDVRPTW). Three using Clustering VRP (CLUVRP) improved Open (OVRP) are proposed compared. We develop two approaches to address traditional OVRP limitations in ensuring depot. Our models consider perishable pharmaceuticals time-dependent travel speeds. hybrid heuristics based on Simulated Annealing Variable Neighborhood Search (SAVNS) evaluated efficacy.
