Abstract
This
paper
analyzes
the
dynamic
asymmetric
effects
of
digitization
on
domestic
inflation
for
a
sample
54
advanced
economies
(AEs)
and
emerging
markets
(EMs)
over
period
2004–2018.
Using
Katz
Calorda’s
Digital
Ecosystem
Development
Index
employing
system
Generalized
Method
Moments
(GMM)
estimation
methodology,
results
reveal
that
improvement
in
has
statistically
significant
nonlinear
deflationary
effect
with
an
exact
threshold
level
43.22
points,

marginal
digital
penetration
is
larger
when
its
lower
than
level.
For
EMs,
below
average
our
full
sample,
policymakers
must
continue
to
invest
expand
their
ecosystem
until
