ABSTRACT
The
dynamic
landscape
of
consumer
behavior
is
pressuring
companies
to
adapt
rapidly
evolving
expectations.
burgeoning
interest
in
the
supply
chain
management
(SCM)
literature
toward
consumer‐centric
research
capturing
attention
scholars
and
sparking
diverse
calls
action.
While
a
significant
growth
SCM
has
centered
on
consumers
as
unit
analysis
over
past
decade,
it
remains
necessary
improve
understanding
how
role
actors
within
evolved.
We
aim
enhance
by
conducting
systematic
review
that
summarizes
synthesizes
studies
focus
analysis.
Our
encompasses
174
articles
from
16
leading
journals.

key
trajectories:
(i)

(ii)

journey.
To
synthesize
literature,
we
develop
framework

Abstract

sea,

marine
litter
microplastics
generation.

for
shifting
towards
use
lower
impact
bio‐based
biodegradable
gears.

review
defines

biogears
as
more
sustainable
aquaculture,
sustainability
issues
covering
technology,
environmental
impacts,
economy‐market,
policy,
social
drivers
their
implementation.
Fit
purpose

end‐of‐life
(EoL)

benefits

versus
conventional
EoL
