Natural gas, coal, and oil account for over 84 % of the world's energy demand. Greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide, methane, oxides nitrogen sulphur, are released during combustion fossil fuels, leading to substantial climate changes environmental damage. Therefore, harnessing from alternative sustainable resources without emission harmful waste products is vital ecosystem's health. By 2050, global food production will reach 3.4 billion metric tons. Although widely recognized as a resource, its value underutilized throughout sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). understanding exploiting potential biofuel can result in net-zero emissions, reducing significant pollution while conserving natural resources. Furthermore, this paper reviews how effective management have contribute development waste-to-energy SSA countries, well help improve ecosystems.

There is world-wide generation of food waste daily in significant amounts, leading to depletion natural resources and deteriorating air quality. One-third global produced wasted laterally with the value chain. Carbon footprint an efficient way communicating issues related climate change necessity changing behavior. Valorization or utilization wastes helps resolving environment pollution. Reduction carbon throughout chain supply makes whole process eco-friendly. Prevailing disposal systems focus on their economic environmental viability are putting efforts into using as a resource input agriculture. Effective advanced management adopted deal massive production so fill gap between disposal. Food biorefineries sustainable, eco-friendly, cost-effective approach for platform chemicals, biofuels, other bio-based materials. These materials not only provide sustainable producing various chemicals but have potential reduce this huge burden significantly. In regard, technological advancement has occurred past few years that proven suitable tackling problem.

Recently, the food supply chain (FSC) has been severely disrupted due to COVID-19 pandemic, putting vital flow of products from farmers and producers ultimate consumers at risk. Furthermore, several organizations have prompted rethink their strategies for future. Although literature on FSC research in era is increasing, no attempt made summarize this stream using bibliometric techniques. This paper fills knowledge gap looks current scholarly discourse around COVID-19. Applying techniques, 287 journal articles were extracted Scopus analyzed determine temporal evolution research, most productive journals, researchers, countries, relevant keywords publications. To construct a keyword co-occurrence network categorize literature, we used computer program VOSviewer. The findings demonstrate rapid expansion during pandemic. In addition, top authors, publications, nations scientific output also determined. Keyword detailed qualitative analysis both illustrate that revolves six main themes: impact agriculture, resilience, waste insecurity, fisheries aquaculture, blockchain technology, governance innovation. study represents first effort map worldwide draw comprehensive collection approaches. Purpose Creating visibility in the supply chain (SC) helps making it resilient. Integrating SC with Industry 4.0 key enabling technologies creates and sustainability SCs. It also fosters intelligent decision-making, thereby a smart. However, how affect performance indicators (KPIs) of resilient may help achieve is rarely studied. Design/methodology/approach Sixteen KPIs were identified from literature review analyzed using fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (FAHP) expert opinions. Further, sensitivity analysis was conducted for by varying weightage criteria. Later, results analyzed, (1) which technology improve KPI? (2) Resilience relationship sustainability? discussed. Findings The analyses show that time-oriented (TO) an essential criterion organizational (OR) less important comparatively. Lead time, time to market risk assessment frequency are top need focus. Blockchain, Big Data Cyber-physical systems enhance KPI's value and, turn, foster economic, environmental social better decision terms smart contracts, forecasting enhanced real-time information sharing. Originality/value Identification KPIs, impact on sustainability; this kind interplay evident literature. Understanding findings research will managers develop work intelligently overcome risks associated sustainability. Academicians can use conduct future limitations research.

Agro-wastes, such as crop residues, leaf litter, and sawdust, are major contributors to global greenhouse gas emissions, consequently a concern for climate change. Nowadays, mushroom cultivation has appeared an emerging agribusiness that helps in the sustainable management of agro-wastes. However, partial utilization agro-wastes by mushrooms results generation significant quantity spent substrates (SMS) have continued become environmental problem. In particular, Shiitake (Lentinula edodes Berk.) can be grown on different types also generate considerable amount SMS. Therefore, this study investigates biotransformation SMS obtained after into biogas attendant slurry digestate (SD) tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) fertilization. Biogas production experiments were conducted anaerobically using four treatments SMS, i.e., 0% (control), 25, 50, 75% inoculated with proportional cow dung (CD) inoculum. The revealed 50% treatment yielded highest volume (8834 mL or 11.93 mL/g organic carbon) methane contents (61%) along maximum reduction physicochemical proximate parameters slurry. Furthermore, from further helped increase seed germination (93.25%), seedling length (9.2 cm), root (4.19 plant height (53.10 chlorophyll content (3.38 mg/g), total yield (1.86 kg/plant), flavonoids (5.06 phenolics (2.78 tannin (3.40 mg/g) significantly (p < 0.05) 10% loading rate. findings suggest upcycling inspired circular economy approach through synergistic bioenergy secondary fruit crops, which could potentially contribute minimize carbon footprints sector.

This study attempts to identify and categorize the key concerns of wearing masks. An online survey was used collect data from 2746 people in United States. Results show that mask-wearing can be classified into three categories; discomfort barriers (physical communication discomfort), external factors (overstated news about coronavirus threat, political beliefs, absence culture), usability issues (lack effectiveness, unnecessariness masks certain cases, mask maintenance issues). The findings demonstrate all mentioned strongly shape people's attitudes toward masks, except for beliefs lack effectiveness.
