Heart failure (HF) is a serious disease with high mortality. Oxidative stress plays vital role in its occurrence and development. Licorice commonly used to treat HF traditional Chinese medicine. Liquiritin, the main ingredient of licorice, has antioxidant anti-inflammatory properties, but mechanism against oxidative cardiomyocytes not been reported. Establishment damage model H9c2 cells by hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2 ). Liquiritin (5, 10, 20 μmol/L) could significantly prevent loss cell viability decrease apoptosis rate. It can reduce levels reactive oxygen species (ROS), malonedialdehyde (MDA), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-6 (IL-6), increase activity ATP, superoxidedismutase (SOD), glutathione (GSH-px), reductase (GR) catalase (CAT) alleviate inflammation dose-dependent manner. was found be related AMP-Activated Protein Kinase (AMPK) pathway molecular docking. Western blotting (WB) quantitative reverse transcription PCR (RT-qPCR) confirmed that liquiritin promote AMPKα phosphorylation sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) protein expression, inhibit nuclear factor kappa B p65 (NF-κB p65). Purpose: Despite significant advances in interventional treatment, myocardial infarction (MI) and subsequent cardiac fibrosis remain major causes of high mortality worldwide. Liquiritin (LQ) is a flavonoid extract from licorice that possesses variety pharmacological properties. However, to our knowledge, the effects LQ on after MI have not been reported detail. The aim research was explore potential role mechanism MI-induced damage. Methods: models were established by ligating left anterior descending branch coronary artery. Next, rats orally administered once day for 14 days. Biochemical assays, histopathological observations, ELISA, Western blotting analyses then conducted. Results: improved heart appearance ECG, decreased weight index reduced levels cardiac-specific markers such as CK, CK-MB, LDH, cTnI BNP. Meanwhile, infarct size hemodynamic parameters LVEDP, LVSP ±dp/dt max . Moreover, H&E staining showed attenuated pathological damage caused MI. Abstract Psoriasis is a common immune‐mediated inflammatory skin disease, caused by disturbed interactions between keratinocytes and immune cells. Chinese medicine shows potential clinical application for its treatment. Liquiritin flavone compound extracted from licorice antitussive, antioxidant antiinflammatory effects, therefore may have as psoriasis therapeutic. The aim of this work was to examine the possible roles that liquiritin in treating psoriasis. HaCaT cells were stimulated TNF‐α with or without liquiritin, harvested analysis western blots RT‐qPCR, cellular supernatants collected analyzed ELISA cytokines. In addition, 4 groups mice examined: Normal, Vehicle, LQ‐L LQ‐H. sacrificed after 6 days using IHC, ELISA, RT‐qPCR flow cytometry. results showed could significantly inhibit progression both vitro vivo. strongly suppressed proliferation but did not affect cell viability. Moreover, alleviated imiquimod‐induced psoriasis‐like inflammation accumulation Th17 DCs TNF‐α‐induced keratinocytes, protein mRNA expression levels cytokines sharply decreased. mice, activation NF‐κB AP‐1 reduced treatment liquiritin. Collectively, our show might act pivotal regulator via modulating signal pathways.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) has become a global pandemic, imposing significant socioeconomic burden. Hepatic steatosis is key pathological event in NAFLD. However, there still lack of effective drugs for NAFLD treatment. Liquiritin (LIQ), derived from licorice root, exhibits antioxidative and anti‐inflammatory properties, making it valuable managing various conditions such as dermatological disorders, respiratory ailments, gastritis. Here, we investigated the impact underlying mechanisms LIQ on hepatic mouse primary hepatocytes (MPHs). Our study found that significantly decreased palmitic acid (PA)‐induced lipid accumulation MPHs. Additionally, remarkably increased mRNA expression Cpt1a, PPAR α , Ehhadh, Cyp4a10, Acox1, suggesting achieves its lipid‐lowering effect by regulating mitochondria‐mediated β‐oxidation. Furthermore, regulatory mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) process was confirmed Seahorse analysis. Mechanistically, bioinformatics analysis predicted VEGFA crucial target mediating beneficial effects against PA‐induced Notably, treatment with purified protein partially counteracted properties LIQ. our data showed promoted degradation through ubiquitin–proteasome pathway. Therefore, findings not only confirm MPHs but also identify potential target. These results highlight therapeutic promise introduce novel treating steatosis.
