Analysis of land use sustainability (LUS) coupling socioeconomic and ecological systems has drawn the interest researchers decision-makers concerned with sustainable development. Exploring relationships between can offer a coordinated route for localized effective governance strategies. We proposed new theoretical framework LUS considering development socioeconomy ecology. applied it further to Xiongan New Area, typical region government-led construction in eastern China, explore depth coordination relationship among their driving factors. Results revealed that: (1) grew while declined most areas Area during 2010–2020 at township level, (2) showed trend development, but generally, was still only primary moderate shift from prominent lag lag, (3) economic factors are critical systems, influence is also increasing, (4) four types were identified towns: developed, undeveloped, tradeoff undeveloped. Urban land green use efficiency (ULGUE) is one of the important indicators growth, making limited resources exert optimal benefits and minimize environmental pollution, enabling development cities. This survey measures ULGUE 284 Chinese cities at prefecture level above using Super-SBM model, built around panel data from 2004 to 2021. The geographic temporal evolution features are studied ArcGIS exploratory spatio-temporal analysis (ESTDA). elements influencing assessed a spatial econometric model. It found that: (1) fluctuates rises with time but has still not achieved validity in general; regionally, west > east central, an overall roughly decreasing trend perimeter center; provincially, Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hainan basically achieve validity. (2) Each city's enthusiastic association. number dynamic local structures increases, strong dependence regional synergy be further strengthened. leap matrix indicates that most have undergone transformation cohesion. Increasing urban land use eco-efficiency (ULUEE) is conducive to alleviating the human-land conflict in cities, especially densely populated and ecologically sensitive areas. ULUEE research past has been less focused on different river basins from a comparative perspective, largely ignored regional heterogeneity driving factors. Thus, this study aims compare spatiotemporal dynamics factors of Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB) Yellow Basin (YRB) China. The was first evaluated using Slack Based Model-Undesirable, then Theil Index spatial Markov Chain were used reveal differential changes shifting direction ULUEE, followed by an analysis segments sized cities Tobit model. Results show that: (1) both YREB YRB, shows characteristic "lower reaches > middle upper reaches", however, notable differences index values are evident among basin segments. (2) exhibits spillovers convergence phenomena during its variations. (3) There significant U-shaped relationship between GDP whole YREB, but only lower YRB. Additionally, form environmental regulations have heterogeneous impacts different-sized cities. In order maintain sustainability resource management coordinate city development varying sizes, governments must take systematic approach that accounts for complexity characteristics drivers ULUEE.

The improvement of urban land green use efficiency is significant in promoting sustainable development. Due to high pollution and low eco-efficiency of urban land use, the sustainable development economy ecology is restricted. Environmental regulation (EnR) essential for government guide eco-efficient use resources, solve environmental problems, promote ecological civilization construction. Utilizing a dataset comprising 266 cities in China from 2011 2021, this paper studies intermediary effect green technology innovation (GTI) industrial structure optimization (ISO) EnR affecting (ULUEE). This study focuses on improving environmental protection and facilitating coordinated economic social development in the Yangtze River Economic Belt (YREB). Examining progress of green 11 provinces cities within YREB. The Super SBM model GML index were utilized to assess efficiency these regions from 2008 2021. Additionally, spatial distribution, evolutionary trends, determinants explored through hot cold spot analysis, kernel density estimation, random forest RF method, Tobit model.Findings indicate that overall is relatively notable, with upstream downstream areas exhibiting higher compared midstream regions. Shanghai Zhejiang have emerged as frontrunners development. Analysis spots revealed are predominantly located Delta, while sub-cold extend upstream, forming concentrated contiguous reaches.
