The
transition
to
university
life
represents
a
crucial
opportunity
for
development,
characterized
by
both
academic
and
personal
challenges.
This
study
examines
the
case
of
Pablo,
20-year-old
Afro-Colombian
student
first
in
his
family
attend
university.
Using
cultural-semiotic
psychological
framework,
this
research
explores
meaning-making
processes
that
Pablo
undergoes
during
year
studies.
Through
interviews
focus
groups,
reveals
tensions
continuous
transformations
meanings
identity,
masculinity,
independence,
responsibility.
These
findings
suggest
Pablo’s
experience
not
only
serves
as
scenario
growth
but
also
pivotal
period
identity
transformation.
