Ageing is an inevitable biological process that impacts the immune system, leading to immunosenescence and inflammaging, which contribute increased susceptibility infections, autoimmune diseases cancers in individuals over age of 65. This review focuses on ageing lymph node stromal cells (LNSCs), are crucial for maintaining (LN) structure function. Age-related changes LNs, such as fibrosis lipomatosis, disrupt LN architecture reduce cell recruitment function, impairing responses infections vaccinations. The discusses structural functional decline various LNSC subsets, including fibroblastic reticular (FRCs), lymphatic endothelial (LECs) blood (BECs), highlighting their roles activation homeostasis. Potential strategies restore aged enhancing during vaccination using senotherapeutics, explored. Outstanding questions regarding mechanisms how stroma might impact disorders also addressed. aims stimulate further research into characterisation LNSCs development therapeutic interventions improve function older adults.

Bee pollen is characterized by an exceptional diversity and abundance of micronutrients bioactive phytochemicals. This richness remains very sparsely investigated, but accumulating evidence strongly supports a promising future for bee in human nutrition medicine. Epigenetic regulation among the most compelling biomedical topics that remain completely untapped derivative research. In our current research, we identified numerous ubiquitous compounds are consistently present this matrix, regardless its botanical geographical origins, have been well studied documented as epigenetic regulators recent years. Given relative newness both research studies within nutritional, pharmaceutical, medical sciences, review aims to bridge these valuable fields advance related experimental investigations. To best knowledge, first work has aimed comprehensively investigate modulatory potential compounds. Our findings also unveiled several intriguing phenomena, such dual effect same compound depending on cellular context or some cross-generational heritability traits. Population ageing is increasing in prevalence most developed countries. Ageing the decline of functional properties at cellular, tissue, and organ level. Biochemical changes that occur all organisms experience biological are referred to as "Hallmarks ageing". Inflammation a common denominator hallmarks ageing, being mechanistically involved age-related health consequences. Inflamm-ageing refers inflammatory immune systems which somehow drive process towards healthy or unhealthy ageing. Current evidences, support that, reversing pro-inflammatory status inflamm-ageing, able modulate associated with increased levels molecules (e.g. cytokines, chemokines), ultimately producing chronic low-grade state typically observed older individuals. It commonly accepted balance between pro- anti-inflammatory cytokines/chemokines one factors determining whether occurs. Malnutrition nutritional imbalances, highly prevalent elderly, playing role driving immunoactive molecules. In particular, malnutrition major risk factor for sarcopenia, phenomenon characterized by loss muscle mass, often basis frailty. Given close relationship there also evidence link Indeed, cytokine/chemokine elderly patients were demonstrated. Abstract The reciprocal relationship between aging and alterations in the gut microbiota is a subject of ongoing research. While role bacteria microbiome well-documented, specific changes composition methanogens during extreme impact high methane production general on health remain unclear. To address these questions, we analyzed metagenomic data from stool samples young adults (n=127, Age: 19-59 y), older (n=86), centenarians (n=34, age: 100-109 years). Our findings reveal compelling link age prevalence methanogen phenotype, while overall archaeal diversity diminishes. Surprisingly, appears more akin to that younger adults, showing an increase Methanobrevibacter smithii , rather than Ca. M. intestini. Remarkably, intestini emerged as central player network stability paving way for centenarians. Notably, exhibit highly complex stable two with other bacteria. Furthermore, mutual exclusion Lachnospiraceae throughout all groups suggests communities may compensate age-related drop by co-occurring butyrate-producing Oscillospiraceae. This study underscores crucial human physiology aging. It highlights shifts composition, emphasizing significance partnership enhanced potential longevity.

Aging populations worldwide are placing age-related diseases at the forefront of research agenda. The therapeutic potential natural substances, especially propolis and its components, has led to these products being promising agents for alleviating several cellular molecular-level changes associated with diseases. With this in mind, scientists have introduced a contextual framework guide future aging research, called hallmarks aging. This encompasses various mechanisms including genomic instability, epigenetic changes, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, impaired nutrient sensing, altered intercellular communication. Propolis, rich array bioactive compounds, functions as potent functional food, modulating metabolism, gut microbiota, immune response, offering significant health benefits. Studies emphasize propolis' properties, such antitumor, cardioprotective, neuroprotective effects, well ability mitigate oxidative stress, DNA damage, pathogenic bacteria growth. article underscores current scientific evidence supporting role controlling molecular characteristics linked hallmarks, hypothesizing geroscience research. aim is discover novel strategies improve quality life older individuals, addressing existing deficits perspectives area.

This review discusses the relationship between cellular senescence and radiation exposure. Given wide range of ionizing sources encountered by people in professional medical spheres, as well influence natural background radiation, question effect on biological processes, particularly aging remains highly relevant. The parallel radiation-induced reveals common aspects underlying these processes. Based recent scientific data, key points effects processes associated with aging, such genome instability, mitochondrial dysfunction, altered expression miRNAs, epigenetic profile, manifestation senescence-associated secretory phenotype (SASP), are discussed. Unraveling molecular mechanisms can make a valuable contribution to understanding genetic basis age-associated diseases context environmental

The α-Klotho protein (hereafter Klotho) is an obligate coreceptor for fibroblast growth factor 23 (FGF23). It produced in the kidneys, brain and other sites. Klotho insufficiency causes hyperphosphatemia anomalies. Importantly, it associated with chronic pathologies (often age-related) that have inflammatory component. This includes atherosclerosis, diabetes Alzheimer's disease. Its mode of action these diseases not well understood, but inhibits or regulates multiple major pathways. has a membrane form soluble (s-Klotho).
