Abstract Extensive anthropogenic activity has led to the accumulation of organic and inorganic contaminants in diverse ecosystems, which presents significant challenges for environment its inhabitants. Utilizing microalgae as a bioremediation tool can present potential solution these challenges. Microalgae have gained attention promising biotechnological detoxifying environmental pollutants. This is due their advantages, such rapid growth rate, cost-effectiveness, high oil-rich biomass production, ease implementation. Moreover, microalgae-based remediation more environmentally sustainable not generating additional waste sludge, capturing atmospheric CO 2 , being efficient nutrient recycling algal production biofuels high-value-added products generation. Nanotechnology has experienced significant advancements, attracting considerable attention in various biomedical applications. This innovative study synthesizes and characterizes Ge/PLA/AuNCs (gelatin/PLA/gold nanocomposites) using Syzygium cumini extract to evaluate their The UV–Visible spectroscopy results an absorption peak at 534 nm were primarily confirmed by synthesis. Carotenoids constitute compounds of significant biological interest due to their multiple activities, such as antimicrobial, anticancer, antiadipogenic, antidiabetic, and antioxidant properties. Metabolic syndrome (MetS) comprehends a series metabolic abnormalities (e.g., hypertension, obesity, atherogenic dyslipidemia) that can affect children, adolescents, the elderly. The treatment MetS involves numerous medications, which, despite efficacy, pose challenges prolonged use, high costs, various side effects. derivatives have been proposed alternative treatments because they reduce serum triglyceride concentrations, promote insulin response, inhibit adipogenesis, downregulate angiotensin-converting enzyme activity.
