Flavonoids
are
a
diverse
group
of
plant-derived
compounds
that
have
been
shown
to
various
health
benefits,
including
anti-inflammatory
effects.
However,
their
use
in
the
treatment
inflammatory
diseases
has
limited
due
low
bioavailability.
The
nanoparticle-mediated
delivery
flavonoids
proposed
as
potential
solution
this
issue,
it
allows
sustained
release
over
time.
There
several
different
nanoparticle
systems
developed
for
flavonoid
delivery,
polymeric
nanoparticles,
liposomes,
and
inorganic
nanoparticles.

review
