Siderophores are small molecules of organic nature, released by bacteria to chelate iron from the surrounding environment and subsequently incorporate it into cytoplasm. In addition iron, these secondary metabolites can complex with a wide variety metals, which is why they commonly studied in environment. Heavy metals be very toxic when present large amounts on planet, affecting public health all living organisms. The pollution caused increasing, therefore urgent find practical, sustainable, economical solutions for remediation. One strategies siderophore-assisted bioremediation, an innovative advantageous alternative various environmental applications. This research highlights uses siderophores metallophores environment, underscoring their significance ecosystems. study delves utilization both marine terrestrial settings (e.g. biocontrol pathogens, plant growth promotion), such as promotion, providing context different instances outlined existing literature highlighting relevance each field. structures types focusing singular characteristics application methodologies used. Focusing recent developments over last two decades, opportunities challenges associated applications were mapped arm researchers fight against pollution.

Human life comes to a standstill as many countries shut themselves off from the work due novel coronavirus disease pandemic (COVID-19) that hit world severely in first quarter of 2020. All types industries, vehicle movement, and people's activity suddenly halted, perhaps for time modern history. For long time, it has been stated various literature increased industrialization anthropogenic activities last two decades polluted atmosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere. Since industries have month or more parts world, is expected show some improvement prevailing conditions aforementioned spheres environment. Here, with help remote sensing images, this quantitatively demonstrated surface water quality terms suspended particulate matter (SPM) Vembanad Lake, longest freshwater lake India. The SPM estimated based on established turbidity algorithm Landsat-8 OLI images showed concentration during lockdown period decreased by 15.9% average (range: −10.3% 36.4%, up 8 mg/l decrease) compared pre-lockdown period. Time series analysis satellite image collections (April 2013 – April 2020) quantified 2020 lowest 11 out 20 zones lake. When preceding years, percentage decrease 34% previous minima.

Food systems that support healthy diets in sustainable, resilient, just, and equitable ways can engender progress eradicating poverty malnutrition; protecting human rights; restoring natural resources. system activities have contributed to great gains for humanity but also led significant challenges, including hunger, poor diet quality, inequity, threats nature. While it is recognized food are central multiple global commitments goals, the Sustainable Development Goals, current trajectories not aligned meet these objectives. As mounting crises further stress systems, consequences of inaction clear. The goal transformation generate a future where all people access diets, which produced sustainable resilient restore nature deliver livelihoods. A rigorous, science-based monitoring framework evidence-based policymaking work those who hold key actors accountable this process. Monitoring illustrate performance, facilitate comparisons across geographies over time, track progress. We propose centered around five thematic areas related (1) nutrition, health; (2) environment climate; (3) livelihoods, poverty, equity; (4) governance; (5) resilience sustainability. hope call attention need monitor globally inform decisions accountability better governance as part Transformation possible next decade, rigorous evidence needed countdown 2030 SDG goals.

Populations and metropolitan centers are accumulated in coastal areas around the world. In view of fact that they geographically adjacent to coasts intense anthropogenic activities, increasing global offshore pollution has been an important worldwide concern over past several decades become a very serious problem needs be addressed urgently. Due pollution, various geological disasters occur high frequency, including intensified erosion salinization soils, frequent collapses landslides seismic activities. Moreover, shows increasingly impacts on topography geomorphology areas, degradation, retreating coastlines estuary delta erosion. Offshore sedimentation processes strongly influenced by pH changes terrestrial discharges, sedimentary dynamics have extremely acute complex due pollution. The seabed hydrodynamic environment determine fate transport pollutants entering regions. Coastal estuaries, port basins lagoons relatively moderate ocean currents winds more likely accumulate pollutants. regions undersea canyons can used as conduits for transporting from continent seabed. It is particularly noteworthy spatial/temporal distribution species, community structures, ecological functions undergone unprecedented recent decades. stable succession development trend marine ecosystems broken. thus identify regulate quantity, composition transportation their behavior ecosystems. particular, crucial actions stabilizing ecosystems, species biodiversity, should implemented enhance anti-interference capabilities.
