Although improving a company's sustainability innovation performance (SIP) has become increasingly important, managers still struggle to achieve such at the portfolio level. In our research, we demonstrate that can support SIP with formal controls in form of clear sustainability-related goals, program activities, and mission statement provides guidance alignment necessary for sustainable innovation. In this article, we study how a luxury fashion engineering company strategically introduced sustainability‐oriented innovations (SOIs) over time through an in‐depth longitudinal analysis of leading Italian business‐to‐business (B2B) firm. Abstract This study examines the effects of corporate sustainability factors (CSFs)—specifically gender diversity, energy practices, and environmental practices—on innovation their subsequent impact on firm performance in Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. By integrating Absorptive Capacity Theory, we explore how these CSFs drive innovation, contributing to broader sustainable development goals. We analyze using resource‐based view (RBV). Utilizing secondary data from World Bank Enterprise Survey (WBES), employ a two‐stage instrumental variable regression (IV‐2SLS) address endogeneity establish causal relationships. Our findings reveal that stakeholder engagement through practices significantly enhances which, turn, drives performance.
