A visible-light-triggered ring opening/in situ SO2-capture/alkynylation sequence of cyclopropyl alcohols with alkynyl triflones using 4CzIPN as a triplet energy transfer photocatalyst is herein described. This metal-free protocol provides straightforward and atom-economical approach to alkynyl-substituted γ-keto sulfones broad scope substituents. In this transformation, could be used both radical acceptors SO2 donors. Preliminary experimental mechanistic studies synthetic utility are also demonstrated.

An inexpensive iron-catalyzed alkoxyl radical-induced C–C bond cleavage/gem-difluoroalkylation cascade is presented. Regulated by the structure of radical precursors, fluorinated distal diketones were synthesized through a ring-opening strategy and difluoroalkylated medium-sized lactones macrolactones constructed via ring-expansion strategy. Both protocols proceeded under mild redox neutral conditions with broad substrate scope good functional group compatibility.

Abstract An efficient synthesis of densely 1,2,4‐triazoles has been achieved by [3+2] cycloaddition nitrileimides with amidine hydrochlorides under transition metal‐free conditions. This method features mild reaction conditions, wide substrate scope and good functional group tolerance. A series aryl, heterocyclic alkyl substituted 3‐CF 3 ‐1,2,4‐triazoles were synthesized smoothly the promotion NaHCO yield up to 96%. In addition, both gram‐scale synthetic transformations are elaborated indicate utility this reaction.
