After the appearance of green chemistry concept, which was introduced in vocabulary early 1990s, its main statements have been continuously developed and modified. Currently, there are 10–12 cornerstones that should form basis for an ideal chemical process. This review analyzes accumulated experience achievements towards design products processes reduce or eliminate use generation hazardous substances. The presents views leading Russian scientists specializing various fields this subject, including homogeneous heterogeneous catalysis, fine basic organic synthesis, electrochemistry, polymer chemistry, based on bio-renewable feedstocks energetic compounds materials. The temperature-dependent switching behavior of the saccharin radical is demonstrated, enabling regiodivergent C3–H and C7–H functionalization quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones. was generated through N–Br bond cleavage in N-bromosaccharin (NBSA) observed to transition between radicophile roles. At −10 °C, it utilized as a radicophile, resulting 100% C3-amination, while at +35 acted radical, leading exclusive C7-bromination. Radical nucleophilicity controlled by temperature modulation.

The development of cutting-edge catalysts is critical in material science for sustainable development. Abstract Intramolecular amination of remote aliphatic C–H bonds via hydrogen-atom transfer reactions has become a powerful tool for accessing saturated nitrogen-containing heterocycles. However, the formation six-membered rings or oxa-heterocycles remains formidable challenge Hofmann–Löffler–Freytag reactions. Here we show how by simply combining bench-stable (bis(trifluoroacetoxy)iodo)benzene and hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) can switch from well-established mechanism to different versatile reaction pathway that enables selective C( sp 3 )–H bond functionalization. We have exploited facile radical cations single-electron transfer, in presence absence light, synthesize pyrrolidines piperidines, including drug-type molecules, along with O-heterocycles. Experimental computational mechanistic studies support two distinct pathways, depending on electron density substrate, which HFIP plays multifunctional role.
