Hospital staff members reported increased stress-related workload when caring for inpatients with COVID-19 (“frontline hospital members”). Here, we tested if depression, anxiety, and stress were associated poor sleep lower general health, social support mediated these associations. Furthermore, compared current insomnia scores health normative data. A total of 321 full-time frontline (mean age: 36.86; 58% females) took part in the study during pandemic. They completed a series questionnaires covering demographic work-related information, symptoms stress, support, self-efficacy, health. Higher higher directly predicted scores, while indirect effect was modest. Compared to data, had 3.14 chance complain about significantly Symptoms unrelated age, job experience, educational level, gender. Given this background, it appears that working context impact on individuals’ well-being individual characteristics.

Abstract Study Objectives The objectives of this study were to examine the relationships between sleep regularity and nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI), including lifetime NSSI history daily urges. Methods Undergraduate students (N = 119; 18–26 years), approximately half whom endorsed a repetitive NSSI, completed 10-day actigraphy ecological momentary assessment (EMA) protocol. A Sleep Regularity Index was calculated for all participants using scored epoch by data capture rapid changes in schedules. Participants responded EMA prompts assessing urge severity negative affect three times over period. Results indicate that individuals with more likely experience irregularity than those without NSSI. Findings also suggest associated intense urges engage on basis, even after accounting average duration, timing, affect, history. Neither duration nor timing intensity. Conclusions is linked intensity present not only supports growing evidence linking disturbance risk but demonstrates relationship real-time assessments severity. highlight importance delineating nuances are proximally identifying targets intervention.

Abstract Some lifestyle habits and problematic behaviors have been associated to non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) in adolescents cross-sectional studies but their role as individual risk factors needs be analyzed through proper longitudinal designs. The objective is analyze summarize the evidence on association of problem with NSSI adolescents. Longitudinal were searched Medline, Embase APA PsycInfo without date or language restrictions. Adolescents exposure compared. Out 5295 identified records, 13 included (39,575 participants). Studies different age ranges (10–20 years, mean 14.3, SD 2.4), 78% female. Abstract Heart rate (HR) and vagally mediated heart variability (HRV) are two distinct biomarkers of cardiac autonomic activity. Decreased vagal activity (or decreased HRV) in particular has been linked with impairments the functional flexibility central network (CAN), resulting impaired stress emotion regulatory capacities. HRV is widely used as trait marker psychopathology. Repetitive engagement non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) adolescence correlates both deficits regulation, well HRV. Existing research has, however, focused on short-term recordings HR under resting phasic conditions. In this study, we examined whether diurnal variation activity, indexed by cosinor parameters derived from 48 h ambulatory ECG recording natural conditions over a weekend, altered female adolescents NSSI disorder compared to controls (HC; N = 30 per study group). Several important confounds, including physical were controlled for. Female show higher rhythm-adjusted 24 mean levels greater respective amplitude HR, lower smaller Peak group reached approximately 1 later HC. A total 2374 (mean age: 27.58 years; 39.6% females) completed series self-rating questionnaires covering sociodemographic information, NSSIs, suicide attempts, patterns, including experiencing nightmares. Past NSSIs predicted NSSIs. Current patterns had modest impact on association between Compared to male participants, female participants did not report more complaints or but occurrences nightmares attempts.
