The
enforcement
of
the
coronavirus
disease
2019
(COVID-19)
pandemic
restrictions
disrupted
traditional
face-to-face
qualitative
data
collection
in
public
health.

We,
therefore,
reflect
on
solutions
for
implementing
storytelling
project
self-care
at
South
African
university
during
COVID-19
pandemic.
Guided
by
Salmon's
Qualitative
e-Research
Framework,
reflective
journals
were
used
between
March
June
2022.
We
documented
online
recruitment,
obtaining
informed
consent
virtually,
collecting
using
well
efforts
overcoming
challenges.
Our
reflections
identified
major
challenges,
namely
recruitment
compromised
asynchronous
communication;
participants'
research
knowledge;
privacy
confidentiality
concerns;
poor
internet
connectivity;
quality
stories;
devices
with
shortage
storage
space;
technological
skills;
time
commitment
required
create
stories.
Strategies
adopted
address
these
included
an
ongoing
process;
flexible
timelines
creation
one-on-one
guidance
creating
multiple
platforms
share
critical
reflection
offers
practical
conduct
health

contribution

the

of
COVID-19

developing

countries,
students

disadvantaged
groups
have
suffered
significantly.
During
pandemic,
these

struggled
to
access

education
but
also

In
post-COVID-19
era,
this
systematic
literature
review
employs
concept
social
justice
framework
investigate
implications
on
higher
worldwide,
focusing
opportunities
challenges

transformation
in
ensuring
inclusive
equitable
quality
education.
The
findings
suggest
that
while
provided
substantive
benefits,
its
adoption
ushered
for
learning.

A
growing
body
