Tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum (L.) Gaertn) leaf has abundant rhamnogalacturonan-I enriched pectic polysaccharides, which exert various health-promoting effects. Nevertheless, the potential relationship between chemical structure and biological function of polysaccharides from leaves (TBP) remains unclear. Therefore, to bridge gap TBP, impacts ultrasound-assisted Fenton degradation (UFD) mild alkaline de-esterification (MAD) on structural properties effects TBP were systematically studied. Compared with native (molecular mass, 9.537 × 104 Da), molecular masses degraded TBPs (TBP-MMW, 4.811 Da; TBP-LMW, 2.101 Da) significantly reduced by UFD modification, while their primary structures overall stable. Besides, compared (esterification degree, 22.73 %), esterification degrees de-esterified (TBP-MDE, 14.27 %; TBP-LDE, 6.59 %) notably MAD also Furthermore, results revealed that both modifications could improve antioxidant, antiglycation, immunostimulatory TBP. Indeed, TBP's negatively correlated its mass positively linked free uronic acids. The findings demonstrate are promising techniques for modification can remarkedly promote present conducive better understanding structure-bioactivity relationship.

Liver disease has become an important risk factor for global health. Resveratrol (Res) is a natural polyphenol which widely found in foods and variety of biological activities. This study investigated the role microbiota-gut-liver axis Res relieving liver fibrosis induced by inorganic mercury exposure. Twenty-eight mice were divided into four groups (n = 7) treated with mercuric chloride and/or 24 weeks, respectively. The results showed that mitigated ileum injury restrained LPS alcohol entering body circulation. Network pharmacological molecular analyses alleviated oxidative stress, metabolism disorders, inflammation, hepatic stellate cell activation liver. In conclusion, alleviates via activating Sirt1/PGC-1α signaling pathway regulating microbial-gut-liver axis, particularly, increasing relative enrichment Bifidobacterium intestinal tract.
