Lung cancer (LC) is one of the most common worldwide. Tumor-associated macrophages (TAMs) are important component tumor microenvironment (TME) and closely related to stages occurrence, development, metastasis. Macrophages plastic can differentiate into different phenotypes functions under influence signaling pathways in TME. The classically activated (M1-like) alternatively (M2-like) represent two polarization states macrophages. M1 exhibit anti-tumor functions, while M2 considered support cell survival Macrophage involves complex pathways, blocking or regulating these enhance macrophages' effects has become a research hotspot recent years. At same time, there have been new discoveries regarding modulation TAMs towards an phenotype by synthetic natural drug components. Nanotechnology better achieve combination therapy targeted delivery drugs, maximizing efficacy drugs minimizing side effects. Up now, nanomedicines targeting various active substances for reprogramming made significant progress. In this review, we primarily provided comprehensive overview crosstalk between cells LC microenvironment. Additionally, latest advancements novel nano-based systems (NDDSs) that target were also reviewed. Finally, discussed prospects as therapeutic targets barriers clinical translation.

Tumor-associated macrophages play an important role in the tumor immune microenvironment, and regulating function of tumor-associated has therapeutic potential therapy. Mature could migrate to influencing multiple factors such as cell proliferation, invasion, metastasis, extracellular matrix remodeling, suppression, drug resistance. As a major component crosstalk with other cells. Currently, have garnered considerable attention therapy, broadening spectrum selection some extent, thereby aiding mitigating prevailing clinical resistance dilemma. This article summarizes recent advances concerning immunology, targeting mechanisms for treatment, new developments, existing challenges, offering insights future approaches. In addition, this paper summarized impact on current therapies, discussed advantages disadvantages targeted therapy compared predicted issues that need be focused on.

The role of tumor interaction with stromal components during carcinogenesis is crucial for the design efficient cancer treatment approaches. It widely admitted that hypoxic stress associated aggressiveness and thus impacts susceptibility resistance to different types treatments. Notable biological processes hypoxia functions in include its regulation heterogeneity plasticity. While has been reported as a major player survival dissemination regulation, significance inducible factors stem cell development remains poorly understood. Several reports indicate emergence cells addition their phenotype function within microenvironment progression. In this respect, evidence showed are key elements intratumoral more importantly responsible relapse escape This paper briefly reviews our current knowledge between stemness acquisition maintenance. Our review extensively covers influence on formation maintenance discusses potential targeting hypoxia-induced alterations expression so far known markers therapy We believe better integrated understanding effect might lead new strategies exploiting hypoxia-associated pathways clinical setting order overcome mechanisms. More importantly, at present time, efforts oriented towards innovative therapeutical approaches specifically target cells.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is currently a problem in the clinic and society. Tumor-related macrophages (TAMs) tumor microenvironment (TME) play vital role development of NSCLC.Bioinformatics was used to analyze Indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO1) NSCLC correlation its expression with CD163 expression. The IDO1 measured by immunohistochemistry, their colocalization assessed immunofluorescence. M2 macrophage polarization induced, coculture model cells established.Bioinformatics analysis showed that promoted metastasis differentiation inhibited DNA repair. Moreover, positively correlated We discovered related differentiation. In vitro, we increased invasion, proliferation, cells. In conclusion, determined can regulate TAMs promote progression NSCLC, which provides partial theoretical evidence for use inhibitors treatment NSCLC.
