Web Science, Scopus, CENTRAL PsycInfo databases were searched. Results initial search produced 8,178 references. After removing duplicates performing selection process by three independent reviewers, 42 articles included in according pre-specified inclusion criteria. results suggest relevance circle on development EDs. Discussion internalization thin ideal, promoted current society, living an unsupportive, unaffectionate, non-cohesive environment associated with onset symptomatology. Other variables indicator poor-quality relationships feeling judged about These aspects seem be for individual characteristics like self-esteem or adaptative coping during adolescence. This has shown complex etiology different involved. Furthermore, information could relevant improve innovative more programs. Systematic registration PROSPERO, identifier CRD42022320881.

Increased theoretical and empirical attention has been given to examining the role of core beliefs in both development maintenance eating disorders (EDs). The Eating Disorder Core Beliefs Questionnaire (ED-CBQ) is self-report measure designed assess five dimensions relating disorders; self-loathing, unassertive/inhibited, demanding/needing help support, abandoned/deprived, high standards for self. present study aimed evaluate psychometric properties ED-CBQ develop a revised improved version original after evaluating its factor structure related properties.A sample undergraduate university students (N = 763) completed an online test battery questionnaires. Putative ED-symptomatic (n 384) non-ED 379) subgroups were created from self-reported responses Examination (EDEQ). Confirmatory analyses (CFAs) performed, internal consistency, construct validity, group differences clinical utility was examined. An initial CFA did not support five-factor 40-item ED-CBQ. A developed that possessed equal or superior measure. ED-CBQ-R demonstrated model fit, similar levels reliability ability discriminate between putative ED diagnostic groups. Our results suggest valid, reliable, but more importantly efficient accessible with potential be utilised clinically research settings. In this study, we evaluated (ED-CBQ); areas hypothesised relevant variety disorder presentations. properties. We find ED-CBQ, as such, able differentiate symptomatic non-eating groups, importantly, reliable tool future clinicians researchers. Abstract Background Eating disorders (EDs), such as (atypical) Anorexia (AN) and Bulimia Nervosa (BN), are difficult to treat, causing socioeconomic impediments. Although enhanced cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT-E) is widely considered clinically effective, it may not be the most beneficial treatment for AN BN patients who do show a rapid response after first 4 weeks (8 sessions) of CBT-E treatment. Alternatively, group schema (GST) valuable this ED population. Even though GST EDs has yielded promising preliminary findings, current body evidence requires expansion. On top that, data on cost-effectiveness lacking. In light these gaps, we aim describe protocol examine whether more (1) effective (2) cost-effective than patients, Additionally, will conduct (3) process evaluations both treatments. Methods Using multicenter RCT design, 232 Dutch with referral recruited from five centers. Clinical effectiveness measured before treatment, directly at 6 12 months follow-up. order rate evaluation, patient experiences degree which treatments implemented according measured. assess quality life achievement personalized goals, interviews conducted end Data analyzed, using regression-based approach mixed modelling, multivariate sensitivity analyses coding trees qualitative data. We hypothesize superior in terms clinical Discussion To our knowledge, study describing explore three aforementioned objectives. Related risks performing have been outlined. In this qualitative study, we sought explore and generate nuanced understandings experiences people lived ED experience (first hand as caregiver) were working mentors in field. To do this, focused on changes that occur personality, traits, interests over course into recovery. Method We conducted semi-structured interviews 27 history, either through personal (n = 14) caregiver loved one 13). undertook reflexive thematic analysis data critical realist lens. Results developed three themes, which illustrate nonlinearity, relationality, systemically linked nature across having recovering from disorder. The first theme focuses expansion; participants described how their worlds got bigger they explored becoming discovered new ways living line values. second emphasizes balance between support autonomy important for enabling change process. last highlights throughout process entwined systemic factors, including actively pushing back against diet culture weight stigma. Conclusions Participants’ stories highlight interactions individual, relational, societal shifts They ongoing calls orient situated within broader social milieu, invites us build supportive environments enable expansion flourishing.

Abstract Objective Our goal was to examine potential predictors of a comprehensive operationalization eating disorder recovery, characterized by physical, behavioral, and cognitive focusing on constructs related self‐concept, personality, negative affect. Method Participants were women with history an who provided data via survey interview at two time points separated about 7–8 years met criteria for diagnosis baseline ( N = 36). Results Logistic regression models revealed that self‐esteem significant predictor recovery status (OR 1.12, p .039) such individuals higher demonstrated significantly greater odds being in full follow‐up. However, when considered set along imposter phenomenon anxiety, no single construct emerged as unique logistic analyses. Discussion These results highlight the importance relation clinical implications bolstering part treatment. Future research should continue explore using larger, more diverse samples optimally identify factors associated achieving recovery.
