Abstract Background The clinical evidence about alveolar ridge changes following molar extraction and how the bone morphology influences dimensional remains limited. Methods A total of 192 patients with 199 extractions were included in this retrospective study. Cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT) images obtained 0–3 months pre 6–12 post extraction. Outcome variables change rate height width. effect on outcomes was explored by single‐factor analysis, correlation a multiple linear regression model. Abstract In order to evaluate the therapeutic advantages of various autologous platelet concentrates (APC) as a single biomaterial during alveolar ridge preservation (ARP), systematic review with meta‐analyses was conducted. PubMed, EMBASE, Web Science, and Scopus were screened for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) that released prior 2024. The selected papers compared an APC either unassisted healing (blood clot) or another ARP (third molars not included). outcome parameters included bone dimension alterations, soft tissue healing, post‐op pain intensity. search yielded 35 (33 studies), one applying platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), six using rich in growth factors (PRGF), 28 leukocyte‐ fibrin (L‐PRF). These studies showed large heterogeneity (e.g., parameters, timing, surgical approach, inclusion criteria), which hindered drawing strong conclusions. most studies, however, PRP, PRGF, L‐PRF alone produced faster less post‐extraction pain, resorption, more socket fill, higher density when (spontaneous) healing. ultimate benefit appears be significantly influenced by approach. Limited literature exists comparing other biomaterials ARP, resulting inconclusive data. application is promising strategy improve hard reduce pain.

Abstract Objectives To assess both the radiographic and profilometric outcomes of early implant placement with or without alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) (using two different ARP techniques) after 1 year loading. Materials Methods Seventy‐five patients a failing single tooth in anterior maxilla were randomly allocated to three groups (1:1:1): (a) using demineralized bovine bone mineral containing 10% collagen (DBBM‐C) covered by matrix (CM), (b) DBBM‐C palatal graft (PG), (c) unassisted socket healing (control). Eight weeks extraction, was performed all patients. Cone‐beam computed tomography (CBCT) impressions taken 8 extraction (ARP/unassisted healing) prior 1‐year post‐loading. Radiographic evaluated. Results Out 70 available for re‐examination at post‐loading, 55 datasets could be assessed (ARP‐CM 19; ARP‐PG 17; Control 19). The need additional guided regeneration (GBR) amounted 31.6% (ARP‐CM), 29.4% (ARP‐PG), 68.4% (unassisted healing). Adjusted models revealed that residual buccal height GBR significantly influenced magnitude changes ( p < 0.05). In (group ARP‐CM ARP‐PG) GBR, presence convexity 36.0% (9/25) For received placement, frequency increased 72.7% (8/11) = 0.042). Regarding measurements, tendency toward agreement observed. Conclusions Early can attenuate post loading minimizing alterations. However, simultaneous consistently yields superior outcomes, regardless whether is performed.

ABSTRACT Objective The present trial evaluated the first‐time application of autogenous demineralized dentin graft with injectable platelet‐rich fibrin (ADDG + i‐PRF) versus (ADDG), in alveolar ridge preservation (ARP) maxillary aesthetic zone. Material and Methods Twenty‐two ( n = 22) non‐molar teeth indicated for extraction were randomized into two groups 11/group). Extracted prepared ADDG, implanted sockets or without i‐PRF amalgamation covered by collagen sponge. Cone‐beam computed tomography scans at baseline 6 months compared to assess ridge‐dimensional changes. Keratinized tissue width, patient satisfaction, pain score chair time recorded. In course dental implant placements months, bone core biopsies engrafted sites obtained analysed histomorphometrically. Results Reduction width was 1.71 ± 1.08 1.8 1.35 mm, while reduction height 1.11 0.76 0.96 mm ADDG respectively p > 0.05). Significant differences keratinized notable between (0.12 0.34 0.58 respectively; 0.008). Postoperative scores significantly lower 0.012). All patients satisfied no No total percentage area newly formed bone, soft particles observed Conclusions alone combination yields similar results regarding ARP clinically, quality osseous tissues, as well patients' satisfaction. Background/Objectives: Tooth extraction induces significant alveolar ridge dimensional changes and soft tissue modifications, often leading to challenges in implant placement or conventional prosthetic rehabilitation. Alveolar Ridge Preservation (ARP) strategies aim mitigate post-extraction resorption of the ridge, enhancing both quality quantity bone during healing. Hyaluronic acid (HYA) has emerged as a promising biological agent for ARP due its osteoinductive, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory properties. However, effects HYA remain inconsistently reported. This study aims assess current clinical preclinical evidence regarding application ARP. Additionally, it evaluates HYA's impact-alone combination with other products-on hard changes, early wound healing, success rates. Methods: A comprehensive electronic literature search was conducted, studies meeting inclusion criteria were critically evaluated. Relevant data extracted from final selection articles.
