An exciting development in the field of assisted reproductive technologies is In Vitro Gametogenesis (IVG) that enables production functional gametes from stem cells laboratory. Currently, this technology still at an early stage and has demonstrated to work only rodents. Upon critically examining ethical dimensions various possible IVG applications human fertility treatment a Sunni Islamic perspective, together with benefit-harm (maslahah-mafsadah) assessment; it concluded utilization IVG, once its efficacy safety are guaranteed, could be permissible by strictly adhering principles related marriage, biological/genetic relatedness, sexual intercourse, moral status embryo/fetus versus gamete. As result, will acceptable for treating primary infertility, age-related preventing genetic diseases. Human primordial germ cells (hPGCs), the precursors of sperm and eggs, are specified during weeks 2−3 after fertilization. The induction of the germ cell lineage from pluripotent stem cells (in vitro gametogenesis) will help understand mechanisms underlying differentiation and provide an alternative source gametes for reproduction. Here, we developed a new method robust primordial cell-like (PGCLCs) newly established bovine embryonic (bES) cells.
