Media representation of ethnic minorities and communities is important in multicultural societies that reflect cultural diversity. Therefore, the role news media becomes crucial to give voices marginalized communities, especially digital age when their practices, issues concerns can reach faster beyond national territories. With technological advancements, practices are also transforming. Ethnic journalists, like colleagues from mainstream media, now use integrated tools produce disseminate news. However, quite less known about how technology-driven changes reshaping landscape, if such developments have any implications strengthen communicative power culturally pluralistic societies. The paper draws linkages between ethnic diversity of the eight federal districts Russia and their technological development (access use ICTs, digital literacy, etc.). We show that although there is no universal correlation composition regions level advancement, where Russians constitute majority (i.e. Central Northwestern) more often tend to be country's leaders in terms development. Following up on this, we purposive sample 398 Internet users based Russia, showing how capital varies depending ethnicity (here will distinguish two large groups – non-Russians, self-identification survey participants) place living. Results study, despite being indicative, those belonging (in our case Russians) living big cities have a higher capital. argue solely does not define users' capital, it still an important understudied issue. Exploring digital inequalities in Russia: an interregional comparative analysis DOI

Purpose This paper contributes to the literature by proposing an analysis of digital inequalities in Russia that focuses on two aspects hitherto under explored: interregionality (by comparing and contrasting eight federal districts) multidimensionality taking into account three levels divide). Social conflict is one of the key concepts for social studies, which, however, does not have generally accepted definitions. The purpose article to clarify main topics research in Russian media studies and determine their place within context conflictology. We attempted categorize theoretically define these objects academic tradition, based on content analysis articles by authors published 2014–2021. В фокусе исследовательского внимания автора статьи – медиапотребление «цифрового» поколения россиян, или Z (возрастная группа 10–19 лет). Сбор эмпирических данных производился методами глубинных интервью и опроса представителей трех российских городов: Москвы, Нижнего Новгорода Ростова-на-Дону. Результаты исследования выявили, что молодые россияне в процессе использования медиа стремятся удовлетворить потребности, связанные первую очередь с социальной природой человека, а именно: потребность социализации самореализации.
