Media representation of ethnic minorities and communities is important in multicultural societies that reflect cultural diversity. Digital divide and digital capital in multiethnic Russian society DOI

The paper draws linkages between ethnic diversity of the eight federal districts Russia and their technological development (access use ICTs, digital literacy, etc.). We show that although there is no universal correlation composition regions level advancement, where Russians constitute majority (i.e. Central Northwestern) more often tend to be country's leaders in terms development. Purpose This paper contributes to the literature by proposing an analysis of digital inequalities in Russia that focuses on two aspects hitherto under explored: interregionality (by comparing and contrasting eight federal districts) multidimensionality taking into account three levels divide).
